General IX
Well... shit. I headed back to my tent. Hell of a crash course. I sure have a disadvantage though. I don't have claws. If I make it through this, and I will, I might mention that. I got on my radio.
"Yes general?"
"I need my sword, warhammer, and several other combat items of mine brought to Aatuylva ASAP. I apparently have a fight coming up and I best be prepared."
"Yes sir. A 20 will be loaded and arrive in approximately 30 minutes."
I returned to my tent and sat down. The other soldiers within were sitting around. I took a cigar out and lit it. I won't get myself drunk quite yet. That comes later when I get the hell out of this country.

Alison and Zack nodded as they moved to support her, slowly moving her back to the bed and laying her out, Zack jumping up and resting halfly on top of her. "There... now you have a fluffy and a warm bed to lay in" he chuckles softly.
Alison smiled a bit. "I'll just check your wounds and everything, and you should be feeling better in no time" she says as she started to do just that. Her foot was bandaged where it had been hurt

"Th-thank you...could I have some water please?"
Sy'vina started shivering, hugging into Zack.
"...it's so cold.."
Her whole body froze and shook as she sneezed, although it would've sounded like a squeak to anyone else.
-------------------------------------------
"Are you sure we can pull this off?"
"The Headmaster gives a success percentage of less than twenty percent."
"Then why are we here?"
"Because his word is will."
"You're insane, you know that, right?"
The two foxes stood there for a while, overlooking the quarantined zone, the crash site, until the taller of the two sighed.
"How are we going to do this?"
"Simple. We ask for Artificer Sentir. We ask to see his body, how he died."
The taller one froze, turning in shock.
"He's dead?!"
"Of course. Strangely enough, no one's reported it yet."
"This...might cause problems."
"Only for them."

Zack nodded before looking at Alison as she left after adjusting the room temperature, setting it at 80. Zack nodded before closing his eyes and getting a glass with his powers, turning on the water in the sink and filling the glass up, before making it float across the room and over to her. "Here you are sweetie. It should be warming up in here pretty soon" he smiles a bit, wagging his tail slowly from side to side. ----- Sundown. The populace of the survivors had begun to move back in a tired motion. Of course, the population was headed for one of two places... the Naria game grounds, or the ship. Guards were now in front of the ship, as well as armed light attack vehicles, all of them keeping their eyes peeled for anything suspicous. At the game grounds, the two armies gathered Tisra was in one tent, and Li and Tod in the other, both sitting down in front of computers as they looked at their three monitors, one displayed legion, one had a satellite map of the playing area, and one was where they could do research, buy units, trade with their ally, and so on. The field now was a city on either side of the pool, near the water, which went three feet back before meeting a wall that was a half a foot high, seperating the city from a thick jungle, which was dotted with villages, and at the very back of the field, was a massive military base, as well as another city. "Alright people, tonights game is a 1v2, the goal is to totally obliterate the enemy. No nukes. 20 minute rush time to occupy your watercity and prepare for the offensive" says Alison, before smiling to the crowd that was gathering. "Welcome friends! Prepare for excitement!"

Two vulpines in black robes approached the outer walls, flashing small amulets around their necks at the guards. It identified them as TechnoSec agents, from Majiin.
"We're here to investigate the disappearance of Artificer Sentier, let us through."
"A-alright...carry on."
They started walking straight for the ship, their eyes hidden by dark goggles.
They went completely unnoticed by the Ai'lupans, who were building three large bonfires at the edge of the tent-city, setting up a circle of swords, as between each bonfire their wraithknives and other weapons were stuck into the ground.
Tiam was busy in a nearby tent, praying. A large axe and several weapons were on the ground beside her.
I will not let him win.
----------------------------------------------------------
Sy'vina sighed, her hand coming to her neck. She freezes up again.
"Where is it? Where's my amulet?"
-----------------------------------------------------------
Corzi stood a bit back from the impromptu gaming field, leaning on a nearby tree.
Hmph.
He hobbles over to where Alison is, the phantom pains in his leg spiking, making him stop every few seconds.
"Excuse me...but you don't mind if I watch from over here, do you?"

Zack smiled a bit before lifting his head, showing the amulet around his neck. "Right here sweetie" ----- Alison smiled a bit. "Not at all!" she says before pointing at a vacant chair, which has cushioned. "Pick your seat."

She almost snatches it, then stops, taking it and putting it back around her own neck. She held it in her fingers, looking at it... Bronze, with opals in it, a gear with a lightningbolt through it.
"P-please don't take it off...it is guild mark..important, I can't ever lose it. It's..like ID, you know?"
-----------------------------------------
He tests it a bit with his good arm before sitting down, setting the crutch to the side.
"So...what are the rules to this 'game' of yours? If you don't mind me asking?"

"Tonight it is no nukes. Basic rules, such as be respectful of your opponent, no hacking around the rules, no entering the battlefield during strategy matches. Kinda like an RTS in this form of the game" she says, smiling a bit. "But of course, it's also teaching people half to be a general, and command armies, n so on" ----- "Ahh... I thought it was just jewelry" he chuckles nervously before resting his head on her chest with a soft sigh. "Thankfully we won't have anywhere special to go until the morning" he smiles a bit at her. "And the room is all to ourselves..."

General IX
Finally my shuttle landed and the rear door came down. I am going to be here for a while so I told the pilot to get out and wait. I closed the rear door and went through my stuff. I really hope no one walks in on me.
The upside to cybernetics is that I can have multiple made with different purposes. For example, I have two other arms here. One has a single shot rail gun another has a laser built in. I have a couple different eyes that I could use.
I took my dress shirt off and set that aside. All that's left is the white undershirt. I rolled up the right sleeve and pulled my arm off. I think I will settle with the rail gun one.
I had the sense to plan ahead to make removing the limbs and replacing them easy with just one hand. I picked up the rail gun one and twisted it into place. With a click, it was in the proper position.
I made sure the rail gun was working, but when I checked, it fired. It blew a hole in the side of the shuttle. I ignored it and loaded another one in. That'll work for now. Just a 15 pound solid piece of metal.
I then used one hand to hold my right eye lid open and with the other pulled my cybernetic eye out. I set it next to the other ones and went with an x-ray one. If I am going to fight, it helps to know which bones I haven't broken.
I picked it up and placed it back in the eye socket. I always hated doing this. I blinked a few times and looked around. It's working sort of. Doesn't feel too secure, but it should hold.
Now that I got the cybernetics out of the way, time to pick my weapons. I already have an idea of what I want. My warhammer and an AGF knife. I took it out of a set of my heavy armor a while back and I am glad that they brought it.
My warhammer made of excess Sphereworld metal. Nearly indestructible, but very heavy. It has a greenish tint to it. The handle is gold and silver plated over the metal. On the head one end is mostly blunt, but with a few sharp spikes, and the other end is an axe like blade.
The knife is just a knife. One molecule thick blade.
With that, I lowered the rear door of the shuttle and told the pilot to stay here, but make sure no one takes anything. He can shoot them if they try.
I took my last cigar out and lit it. I think the duel will be coming up soon.

"I see....I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar..'RTS'? Must seem silly..I..well, do not leave job much, understanding? Though, seems it could be interesting game...we have many war'games', as some call them, and combat competitions..but this is much different, yes?"
-----------------------------------------
Sy'vina's fur ruffles out and what of her skin that could be seen turned bright red.
"Meep! Now is not time! They could be...and plus have to...just no! I am recovering remember!"
She playfully bats at his ears while clutching the amulet.
------------------------------------------
The large crash from the shuttle drew untoward attention as Aatuylvan soldiers arrived to investigate the noise, but Tiam's mind was elsewhere.
She got up from the ground, grabbing the war-axe and the wraithblade...she did not have the privilege of killing the beast who once wielded it, that was her father's doing, and he gave it to her on her twelfth birthday...
She saw it slice cleanly through the infantry combat armor the grunts used, it's 13 inches of..well, whatever it was, some kind of chitin? She never did pay attention in biology, but she did know that the older the wraith, the stronger the blade, and the sharper...the handle was set in carved bone, made in her father's youth.
The circle was getting larger...nothing draws Ai'lupans quicker than the promise of blood.
---------------------------------------------
The two foxes introduced themselves to the guards at the ship as Viegmiros J'ianto and Dolan.
They speak German well enough...
"We need to go in and look around at a few things. I hope you understand."
"If not we'll just come back with InShtu. He was a high-ranking Arbitor, and his family is already pressuring the University enough as it is, and with them being a key contributor..."
"Oh knock off it, it's fine, he probably got lost ogling at all their technology, you know how they can get."

Zack laughs and shakes his head at her reaction, leaning up and kissing her gently on the lips before grinning and resting his head back on her chest with a soft purr, wagging his tail slowly from side to side as he stared up at her. "Mmmrr... oh fine... just relax dear" he snickers a bit before winking at her. ----- The guards heard the request before the dragonic one stepped forward. "And what gives you the right to enter our ship, hm? We have the remains ready for you to take back," he snaps his fingers as a couple of soldiers bring forth a small black box, setting it down between them. "He died in an accident as I have told whoever asked before you lot, now please, take them and go" he kicks the lid open to show several charred bones and ashes inside of the box. It wasn't a ceremonous surrender of remains, but it was enough to get them off their hands. ----- Alison smiled a bit. "Real time Strategy, and yes, in a way it is" she smiles a bit. "Now squad based combat, it is hand to hand, sniping, and everything you can think of!"

Sy'vina sighed, turning the amulet over and over in her hands.
"Something just doesn't feel right.."
---------------------------------
One of the foxes sifted through the char and pulled out the remains of a small amulet...the metal was warped and twisted, but the core... He pocketed it quickly.
"It would have been most helpful if the body was returned sooner."
"We hear there is a youngling inside, I must request, on behalf of the Ryvuuli government, that you return her to us so she can have proper medical care, as exposure to foreign pathogens and possible chemical and radiation leaks would not speed her on her way to good health."

General IX
A circle of people. I'm going to assume that's where this will be. With my warhammer over my shoulder, I walked toward it.
Or I could just load up my soldiers into the 20 and get the hell out of the country. This is a pain in the ass of a choice. Possibly get killed, or almost killed rather, and get married or get the hell out and piss off a country.
Of course, I never made it this far in life by being a coward. Might as well see how it ends up. I could win. Or if I lose, maybe she'll say no. But I can't make myself lose. Damn it.
I managed to reach the edge of the circle and waited for something to happen.

Zack perked his ears up and smiled a bit before giving a soft nosing to her neck. "Oh? What's wrong sweetie?" he asks, before whining lowly when he started to sense something amiss in the air. "I think I feel it too..." ----- "I have no reports of outsiders onboard the ship" he says before checking records. "Aaaand I stand corrected... there is seven outsiders onboard, but all of them are in safe zones. So no worries there" he mutters to himself, reading over the release forms, which he noticed one was marked 'do not release'. "Well... uh, it seems that one of the people is marked 'do not release', due to severe medical injuries" says one of the corporals who was looking up the same thing.

Ekuh'khursungki.
The Challenge of Equals.
The name is extremely misleading to any who have not experienced the driving force behind Ai'lupan politics and government before. To an outsider's eyes, it involves ritual combat, tooth, claw, and blade, nothing else. It is a test of skill and cunning, as well as strength. To anyone who's ever participated in one of these 'duels', it is far different. The Challenge has no formal rules save these: the only weapons that may be visibly brought must be melee weapons with no Ryvuuli modifications. No armor must be worn on the chest.
Those who have half a brain immediately recognize the massive loopholes brought upon by these threadbare rules. Throughout Ai'lupan history, Ekuh'khursungki has been plagued with corruption, back-handed dealings, 'victories by default' brought upon by the mysterious deaths of one or more of the participants, blades of such magnificent make that the concealed vials of poison and the leads to the tip go unnoticed, the bribing of inspecting officials, and up to and including hold-out firearms that are not found during inspection, allowing their use within the duel itself. One even managed to bring a gadgeteer blade simply because it was not made by Ryvuuli hands.
Historians have noted that the differences between Accallian and Ai'lupan duels hinge upon differences in their mindsets. Accallians hold honor, decency, and personal freedoms to a high regard. Ai'lupans view survival as the only trait worth cultivating.
As IX walked into the circle, all eyes were on him as two robed figures stood up and approached him.
"We have been chosen to inspect you, human. We must look for hidden weapons, and we must look at your chosen weapons to insure they meet specifications. It will be much easier if you simply allow us to do what we need to do."
------------------------------------------------
"We shall return for her when she is well."
They walked away, waiting until outside the perimeter of the wall before speaking once more.
"It will be hard to break in."
"It will be unnecessary. See that over there? Such a large group, watching that odd game of theirs. It will be far easier to grab a straggler, or a couple wandering off into the woods after the game, than to break into their ship."
"So we wait in the woods to kidnap children like common slavers?"
"Please. You speak as if the aliens matter in the end. Politically, they may be important to Ryvuul, but we serve the Headmaster first."
"As you wish..."
