Tod stood outside the house smoking a cigar, just watching the sky as he didn't plan on going anywhere special today. His husband was dead, but he didn't want to attend the funeral for grieving reasons. "Why'd the bastard have to die..." he mutters to himself before noticing the shuttle coming in for a landing, deciding it was just a post office shuttle, he turned and headed back inside. "Computer, lock doors, and windows." he says, the door sliding shut behind him after he walked in, taking a small left and going downstairs.
After he was downstairs, a steel door slid shut and the lights to his little armory came alive, showing his power gear, harkonnens, AK's, pistols, Grenade launcher, and scythe all waiting to be used at a moments notice. "Maybe I should clean them again..." he says quietly before reaching out for his scythe

Colonel KC
I decided to bring along a platoon of AIFVs to the funeral. Granted we are to meet at the Worldport first and drive down, we might as well take these. It's nice to be out of the Wasteland finally.
I think that my 40 soldiers, 10 to an IFV, might cause a bit of a scare. We're all rad burned and we've all lost some hair or fur, if not all. It's bad in there, but we'll survive with proper medical attention when necessary. We're the best at what we do though.
The 1st Wasteland Legion. Hell of a name.
Regional Operations Commander of ADNI
My shuttle landed at the pad next to the beach. As soon as we touched down, we jumped out the back. One agent raised his rocket launcher and fired at the double back doors. Might as well make sure they are awake. No point being stealthy in the middle of the day.
Director's orders: Take out the Imperial Family and potential heirs.
Unlike our guys that went into Aatuylva with minimal protection, we have full armor and military grade weapons. We should be able to capture and, of course, kill Tod.

The house shook hard when the rocket hit the back door, blowing them wide open. "...seems I have some unwanted guests" he smirks wide at the thought as he stepped up onto his pad, letting the armor encase him before turning to the second pad. "30mm 1500's please" he says to the computer in a mechanical voice, the massive ammo pack being lowered and connected to his back as he picked up his cannons, as well as other weapons.
Within a minute, he was ready... now all he had to do now was go up a greet them. With a loud thud, he took a step forward before the doors opened, the long barrels of the 30mm Anti-Freak cannons going out first. With loud thudding steps, he walked upstairs and stood in the lobby of the house, a blue bubble appearing around him as combat systems came online.

There's IX's hou- fortress. I will never understand why he builds his houses like that.
When I heard an explosion, I ordered the platoon to stop. I watched some smoke rise from the house and then I turned us down the road to the house.
Regional Operations Commander of ADNI
My agents just stormed into the house. There shouldn't be any resistance since it's still early. I, however, am going to stay by the shuttle in case anything goes wrong. It shouldn't unless that shuttle wasn't ours.
But they said the mission was a success, so it must have been. We also shouldn't get any surprises with the nearest NGDF forces more than 10 miles away.
This is going perfectly so far.

"FOOLS!" he shouts before raising the cannons, the chain of 30mm rounds sparking off and the thunderous THUMPTHUMPTHUMP of every round firing off could be heard clear outside the compound. The rounds flew out and blew right past the agents, the uranium exploding within the rounds and taking out those that weren't hit.
He then charged forward, running at a good 10 miles per hour before skidding out, opening fire on more of the agents as they shot at him. Thank gods for the shielding. "You people come into MY house, and expect no fights?!" he ran up to one of the officers and sliced him in half, looking up with those eight glowing red eyes just in time to see the shuttle. "Grrh!" he took aim and prepared to blow the vehicle up, now standing at the side of the home.

I jumped off the pad as more of the rounds hit the shuttle. Okay, so it wasn't perfect. Not even a minor success. I kneeled in what seemed to be the driveway when I heard a smash and creaking. I looked behind me as the steel door fell on me.
Colonel KC
I hit the door with my IFV and knocked it right out. Once my IFV got into the compound, I stopped. I saw Tod, or someone short enough to be Tod.
I got out of the turret and walked toward him, with my arms up of course. Unlike those he killed, which I now see are... ADNI agents? Odd. Unlike them, I am in a TEL dress uniform.
I yelled, "Tod! What the hell happened here?"

Tod heard the crash and spun around, nearly opening fire on the IFV's when he seen a familiar face. KC. "I was hoping you'd know" he says before lowering his weapons, shields going down as he looked at the one he had cut in half. "Funny... this was like target practice"

"I have no idea what's going on. I just got out of the Wasteland for the first time in 2 weeks. These were ADNI agents, but what I don't understand is why they went after you.
"I don't like this at all. If you would, could you come with us? I think that the Governor might be able to help us out some."

"Sure... just lemme give someone a little present..." he walked over to the shuttle and padded in, shooting the pilot for good measure before angling it up, setting it to full throttle before sliding out the back, walking back over to him as the thing went wild and shot off like a rocket into the sky. "Now we can go" "Hopefully it'll land on the director of these bastards"
He walked over to the IFV's and ran a hand along the back of it, hrming as he was too tall to enter with his scythe. "I'll ride on the top... and don't bug me about it being unsafe, I know what I'm doing."

"Alright, but still be careful. Like it or not, you are still royalty. And all of them are full anyway."
I got back in my turret and once Tod got on, all four IFVs backed out so mine could take the lead again.
"It's strange being on roads again. I mean real roads, not the torn apart ones in the New Gracaria Ruins."
With that, I got back on the highway toward the Worldport.
Fleet Admiral Luca Rio
The shuttle landed, finally, on one of the larger airstrips. Good to be back in truly friendly territory. Once we came to a stop, and the ramp came down, I walked out with my jacket and dress shirt under my arm.
Nakhi was already waiting.
"What the hell happened?" He asked me.
"ADNI agents attacked us. They shot me, injured Stidham, and probably caused a war."
"What a great fucking day." He just walked off toward the terminal.

The shuttle that Tod had launched came down some twenty-five miles away, slamming into the water at mach 5 without any warning except the loud scream it made when it came down.
Tod fastened himself to the top of the IFV and began to scan about the area, flinching at the occasional shadow and keeping his senses on high alert. He didn't feel like being shot at anymore today.

"You're not going anywhere, Governor, until I get some answers."
Tiam stormed past Luca, the soldiers and tankettes assigned to her following suit. While in uniform, the thick chest armor could not be hidden, and it's outline shown underneath it, as well as the howdah pistol at her waist.
"Besides, someone has to bloody well escort me to the funeral, or I'd get lost.."

Governor-Militant Nakhi Welhan
"Well what answers do you want? If it is about ADNI then I know nothing about it. They are too damn secretive anymore. IX couldn't even tell me more than the basics about them.
"You want my opinion though? I think ADNI killed IX and tried to kill you. That's only speculation though, but it's the best guess.
"Now, I have to take care of real business. You are the Empress, find your own damn way to the funeral."
I heard a whistling sound in the distance and looked toward the harbor. I saw a black blur a splash, and then saw a fireball, followed by an ear splitting explosion that shook the ground here, at what was one of the three unfinished airport terminals. It was being used to store jet fuel.
"GOD DAMN IT! WHAT THE FUCK ELSE IS GOING TO HAPPEN? I WANT THE HEAD OF WHOEVER DID THIS."

Tod flicked an armored ear as he felt it began to burn, not being able to help himself with smiling inside of his helmet. Not like anyone could see it, or hear what he was gonna say. "Sometimes I wonder if I am a part of entropy..." he looked up at the sky and noticed the cams on the very top displayed a ploom of smoke rising from the city. "Oops... uhh... oh well..."
Off the southern coast
"Is that where the funeral is gonna be held?" asks the captain of the Reliance, the frigate itself idling in the clouds a mile up.
"Yessir... I think it is." says an Ensign, zooming in on the surface below as they began to move forward to get out of the clouds slightly.
The captain nodded. "Good... keep on full alert, if Tod's transponder in his heart goes dead, then we're shelling it... hopefully we won't be noticed this far up"

"I don't think you understand. I am the Empress. And the only person who can convince the War Minister not to launch his strategic assets at someone he thinks violated the Blood Pact. I don't give a damn whether or not you knew about it. It still stands that Aneans tried to assassinate me today, and if you'd care to at least prove me wrong in the assumptions that all of them want me dead, then you'd best show your Empress some respect. Or I could just walk into the street and have my men open fire at someone until traffic stops and we commandeer several vehicles. The least you could do is point me to a train station, the last time I was here it was before IX set up that ridiculous rad-waste competition of his. Or a telephone booth, so I can call off whatever idiocy Stidham's prepared to spout on broadcast television."
