Tod smirked and closed his eyes, leaning back into the chair with a happy sigh. "Strange or not... he seems to have taking a very grand liking to me... maybe it's something in the air" he says, before standing up and adjusting his pants at the waist, before sitting back down, clearing his throat before pointing at Alueza. "Access database 16, and bring up the designs for the Capitol tower." and sure enough, the ship hologram turned into a building hologram, the structure itself standing 13 miles high according to the numbers. Alueza scratched her head before pointing about mid-way of the tower. "Should we devote this section to Industry? Or..." "No... I think that we should keep the lower half for civilian life... and then the top for military" he separated the two sections and colored them into red and green. "Lower section would be for civilians, like doctors, scientists... the higher things of life... then of course, the higher you go, you'd notice more military control, before suddenly PING! You have the tower turn fully military..." he sighs and taps his nose in thought. "Maybe we... naaah, we need civilian workers in there to make it function properly" "Seems okay to me like that... half and half it?" Captain Luca Rio"I swear, you are just like IX. Even on a trip, he can't stop working. Hell, I bet that after the dinner he is going to go to his office and pull out something to work on. Probably won't even sleep tonight. Well, he also has to speak with one of the people back there after dinner. I don't know about what. "Honestly Tod, just relax. This trip is supposed to be like a vacation for everyone on board. Except my crew of course. Work will always be there when you get back."

"Heh..." he shook his head and closed the hologram before it went back to a normal picture of him and a cross fox cuddling together while asleep, a soft smile crossing his face. "Suppose you're right... I just hope the colony will still be there when I get back" he then perked a brow at her before getting an idea.
"Say Luca... do you happen to have something on that can block ones scent?" he asks, headtilting a bit toward her... after all, he didn't wanna smell like a flower pot all day, did he?

"But as for covering a scent, I can't help you with that." I sniffed a bit. Flowers... huh... "Besides, you smell fine."

[[[OOC: is dinner disbanding?]]] OOC: People are just leaving slowly. It seems it is when they are done eating and such.

"I am not one whom is impressed by traffic but more likely annoyed," came Umfaro's translator shortly after he finished eating. "I would guess a jam of that magnitude would be necessary in trying to handle the planetary logistics and systems. Keeping on top of such things seems like a needed priority if what you speak is not hyperbolae. Large system management should be a work for System Equation engineers if you have them on your world.
"As for the tours, I'd be delighted to meet your academic militants. I have much wondered if the aspects of my job would be translatable in the least to a three dimensional frontier."

President Elect IX"The traffic thing was a joke. I hate it. It's a huge, double decked highway. 20 lanes each direction, top deck goes west, lower goes east. Even with 20 lanes it's STILL backed up at rush hour. "Anyway, the ASF Academy isn't all that 'academic'. Unless of course you wanted to fly a starship in the future, or work on the hyperdrives and engines, or do anything related to ship function. About the only academic stuff is related to what the person wants to learn. "For the most part, the students there are enlisted soldiers wanting an officer position. However, there are some ensigns and higher that are there for extra learning. There are one or two captains as well. They are trying to become a flag officer since you either need 40 years as an ASF officer or 10 years in the academy to become an admiral. "Now that I think about it, Captain Rio will probably become a Rear Admiral in a month or two."

Umfaro nodded. "I suspect from the translation I am having just heard that there was an error made. I did not mean academic as in a place of theoretical learning. But academic as a place of all learning. And in case I am not around when the promotion is granted, I would like to pre-congratulate Captain Rio."

Herdez poked Vuela and asked, "Hey, What about Itka? I thought you guys had a solution to the whole thing with 'unknown effects on Malych' thing?"
It took Vuela a moment to figure out what Herdez was trying to say, and then she said, "You mean the TIPM box? Well, we were going to wait until we got planet-side. I figure the trip would just bore her."
"With the way things have been with all these heads of state here", said Herdez, "I think maybe, if anything, she might be kind of interested in the circus."
"I guess.", she said. Then reached into Andertol's courier bag and pulled out the tiny, spindly fold-up raptor. Which stood only about 12 high when unfolded. She connected it to a fairly plain looking box by way of a optical cable.
The box took a bit to boot up, then came online. Followed shortly by the drone unfolding completely (still only 12 inches tall), then shuddering to life.
"Ciw do hogo...", it chirped, "Hazlo bae."
"What the fuck?" "What's going on?"
It had just basically woke-up. It's tiny pin-like back feathers twitched and it immediately found Andertol and said, "There's no Carrier signal. Are we at Haroma?"
"No, we're on the ship.", said Andertol, "This is the dinner thing".
The spindly little dromeosaurid tugged the optical cable connecting it to the TIPM box. "I'm quite not interested in dinner. Seeing as I don't eat."
"I have to go meet General IX after dinner.", Andertol said, "I'll talk to you tonight. Uh", he hesitated but quietly added an endearing, "Bee Muffin" to the end of that.
The Itka drone looked around slightly awkwardly, "You used a term of endearment in a public setting?", she asked.
He replied in Kohtohkhan, "Well, I haven't seen you in a while and that old wolf over there, Azvel. He said I wasn't carnivorous. You just don't do that to something that has more teeth than you.
She said, "I have 16 teeth, and I have made this assessment regarding your aversion to, I assume: steak. Before as well."
"It's an ugly rubbery horrible meat.", Andertol replied, the conversation still quiet and in Kohtohkhan, "But the mammals were doing it. So I felt... threatened...
Divine Flaming Genitals! Meat should be burned nearly to a crisp! With special care taken to convert all of the connective tissue and gristle into grease or burned-off completely. Meat is to be partially incinerated, diced or ground up to a texture delicately chosen by a chef. This is how the hamburger was invented."
"Hiyike, I don't care.", she replied matter-of-factly, "I assume this is the person whom appears to be passed-out over there?"
She then looked at the bottle of Inteer Whiskey and said, "Oh, I see what brought that about.
You didn't drink it too? You'll end up sick for days and may require medical attention."
"No.", he replied to the drone's scolding, "I didn't even apprehensively use it as a hot-sauce."

President Elect IX"Well then I have to say there is nothing academic about the ASF Academy. About all it teaches is the art of space combat. The AGF Academy is the more traditional military training. Actually, a few months ago, I got a copy of Sun Tzu's Art of War. I had a digital version sent to Haroma and that is actually being used to teach there. Of course, it's slightly modified for the space age, but still, I never expected them to use it. "Oh, and mention nothing to Luca about the promotion. She isn't even aware of the possibility."

Andertol finished up with dinner and said to IX, "Well, I think I'm about done here, I'll see you shortly"
He got up and picked up the Itka drone and the TIPM box and left.
The remainder of the delegation remained, since they were still not completely sure what constituted "leaving during a diplomatic meeting" and didn't want to take chances.
----------------------------------------
"This has got to look strange", Itka said while Andertol walked down the corridor holding the drone by a handle on her back.
"I think I'm going to have Echrak find a way to make this TIPM box something that can be put on your back, that way you'll be more mobile and not restrained by that cable. I don't know why they didn't design it to work like that to begin with.", Andertol said.

President Elect IX
As I stood up, I said to the rest of the Miokalians, "Feel free to leave if you want. This seems to be winding down anyway."
I headed out of the dining area and got into one of the lifts. I went to Deck 6 and then over to my cabin. That only took a few minutes.
I left my doors open and went to my office. That is the room at the back right, from the door anyway. I also left that door open. If he gets it, then he should come right to my office.
I set the wraithpup on the desk and then I took my uniform jacket off and hung it on the typically useless coat hangar in the corner of my office. I pulled a book off my shelf to read while I wait.
First book I pulled was the Bible. Nah, let's read something a little more realistic. I pulled 'War and Peace' off my shelf and sat down in my chair. Now I just have to wait yet again.
---
OOC: IX's office has the entire back wall (relative to the door) full of books. Most are from Earth.

Tod smiled softly before beginning to daydream slightly, before being jolted out of his sleep by someone calling his name. "Zuh?" he blinks and looks around for the person responsible, then looks to where Alueza was, only to find her gone. "Did... anyone call me?" he asks, looking at Luca, rubbing one of his eyes in a sleepy motion. ----- Ina yawned into her hand before sighing and standing up, padding over to Tiam and gently taking him into her arms. "I do apologize breaking up your little playdate with Alani here, miss, but we both must be retiring to our quarters for tonight" she smiles and bows slightly out of respect, before turning and walking for the door. " Quaint... I wonder where Tod wandered off to"

Tiam sighed.
She was going to share some pudding with the little thing too...
Well, only one thing left to do...
Bother IX.
She hurriedly finished, not wanting to stay around a bunch of stuffy civilians for much longer. Careful so as not to mess up her dress, she got someone to make sure that Azvel got to his room ok...he'd probably want to keep the Inteerie whiskey bottle, though, knowing what she did of the rumors.
So far, a mildly interesting day...

You should go get some sleep. I think it's been a long day for everyone. Hell, I think I will be going soon as well." I decided to make a joke of IX and him getting married. "Before you go though, will I have to have LucAI change your room to the Imperial Cabin?" I smiled a bit at that and hopefully he'll know it was a joke.
