This time Waldo interrupted Dizmulak. "We do our best to respect the many religions that we have encountered and observed. I must admit that I was pondering the meaning of that arm band myself. During the last major human war on Earth my nation was not yet begun nor founded proper. One could say that we were enduring our own issues with illegitimate dictators while other parts of the world were doing the same. So the symbology that would most offend the sensibilities of my self or my country friends is different from that that offends many others, though we understand quite deeply the implications all the same. It is indeed an unfortunate coincidence that the faith of Haroma's symbology shares motif structure with that of an evil empire in our world's past." Waldo sipped his drink quickly. Dizmulak almost butted in. "But I must explain that at least of the three of us, I am bound to be curious about the faiths of foreigners. I do not know nor care about the views on the matter of my compatriots. But I am one whom seeks to know." President Elect IX"I know of Earth's history. Hell, I was born in the United States. That was one reason I wasn't happy with the symbols and the styles. But alas, trying to convince like five trillion people is no easy task. "Anyway, about the religion, it is centered around the Emperor. He is a god, or so he says. If nothing else I think he's a demigod. The populace that follows it are typically chosen for the Emperor's cabinet first before a so called 'heretic'. "Really all it comes down to is that the religion is like being in the communist party in a communist nation. It just gives you better things. Of course, there are masses and such and weddings administered by them, like any Earth religion." Vuela asked, "What's the policy on accompanying AI's in the presence of the Emporer? Is it different for holograms and drones?" "Foreigners can have them, but no Anean can have them. The Emperor hates AIs. That's why he still doesn't know about our friendly wolf AI on this ship."

Herdez translated this for Echrak, who seemed to be a bit unnerved. He said something to Herdez in Kohtohkhan, than Herdez translated, "He asks: Luca (AI) isn't going to be... dismantled, if he finds out? Is she?"

Hrmph...politics....
Tiam brought little Tammy and put him back on the table. IX was more of a general than she thought if he was going to be involved with politics so....
Should probably learn to live with that...
She gave little Tammy another piece of steak, but it jumped onto her plate, 'killing' one of the bigger slabs, trying to shake it and claw at it with its paws.
"You are a silly little thing, you know that?"
Azvel, on the other hand, had poured a fairly large glass of the Inteerie whiskey and was mixing it with the Talonian liquor. He sniffed at the concoction, gagged, and pulled out a flask. He poured, from the flask, a strong smelling viscous 'liquid' that was deep red in color and took a full two minutes to come out of the flask and into the glass. He took a spoon and stirred the resulting potion vigorously before stopping to look at the odd brownish liquid.
Satisfied, he took the glass and drank it all, much to the horror of Tiam.
He got up, and asked IX, who looked like a smoking man, for a lighter, in a rasping voice. Upon acquiring the lighter, he lit it, and coughed up something that caused a temporary stream of fire to leap out and wink out of existence for a moment. He gave the funny looking human back his lighter, and promptly made it too steps before collapsing onto the floor.

"Serves him right", hissed Andertol quietly.
It seemed all IX had to do to get Echrak to warm up to him was ensure LucAI's safety.

"Well..." Tod looked down and sighed softly. "There... won't be any Slavers in orbit of the planet, will there?" he knew they didn't allow slavery in their colony, but didn't exactly know about the rest of the empire... and knew due to his past, he'd be a prime target for anyone that wanted to get some 'new property'. ----- Alani snooped around under the table before jumping up into Tiam's lap, starring up at her with a soft smile, his small tail flicking about in a curious and happy manner, ears glowing just as bright as ever. "Hii!" "We're retiring General, please, have a good night and take care..." Casper smirked and motioned for the others to stand up, before heading for the door and back to his cabin, the only one remaining was Ina, which was because of Alani.

LucAI"Slavers?" I started to laugh. After a moment, I said, "There is nothing of the sort on Haroma. If there were, they'd be blown away. Nothing like that can get through the Haroma Defense Network. Haroma is probably the most civilized planet in the galaxy. "But, if we were in the Rim Worlds, I can't say yes or no. Just the fact that they are so far away from the capital it's hard to administer. Of course, if we did fly through there, you'd be safe on board this ship. The ASF Enterprise is the most advanced and most powerful Anean warship. Well, the power is second only to the Harbinger, the flagship. "Basically, no sane person, or insane for that matter, would take on this ship. And to directly answer your question, there have been reports of slavers on the Rim Worlds, but the ACIA has been trying to stamp them out. "We have no tolerance for slavery because a long time ago, the Anean people were themselves enslaved. The Emperor hates the concept. The closest thing we have to it is the prisoners that do hard labor, but they committed a crime. "Anyway, I am rambling. I hope that answered your question." "We're retiring General, please, have a good night and take care..." Casper smirked and motioned for the others to stand up, before heading for the door and back to his cabin, the only one remaining was Ina, which was because of Alani. President Elect IX"Very well, have a nice night." I noticed Ina was still here, but I already know the reason. Or I can assume the reason rather. Luca got up and said, "I had better get my ship back. I apologize for anything I may have said and I realize that much of it was uncalled for. I do hope that my tongue doesn't get the best of me in the future." When she left, I said, "She is one of the more outspoken Captains, but I love her all the same." I just realized how that kind of came out. "What I mean is, I am her godfather, but we are close. There is a whole story because of that, but I don't feel like telling it unless everyone would want to sit through me talking again." Captain Luca RioI walked out onto the bridge. Almost immediately, the Commander heard me coming and moved to the other seat. I sat down in my chair and then I noticed Tod, LucAI, and some other AI. Interesting. Heh, now that I am here, I am sure someone will notice that LucAI was based completely on my appearance. I said, "Oh, hi Tod. I didn't know you came to the Bridge."

He nodded slightly and continued to type out something, before bringing up the plans for what looked like some sort of battleship, all written in Baronh. "Yeah... I wandered here on the way back to the cabin after I filled up on the red stuff, got stopped by IX, and surprised" he smiles and turns the design slowly in the air before beginning to add wireframe guns to the very design of it. "Lets see... 5 forward guns, 12 secondary on each side, 4 antiair on each side, and 3 rear guns... what... am I missing?" he looks at the bottom of the ship, tail reaching out on it's own and trying to grab Luca by the arm.
Alueza looked between the AI and Luca, perking a brow before smiling softly. "Twins... I see that you were modeled after your captain" she looks at the design Tod is working on before lengthening the ship a slight bit. "That help?"
"No... I still can't figure out what I am missing..."

"Do not fear a length of words dear friend IX," said Waldo's translation. "As host and honored personage of the events to come you have the right and privilege to speak at length on any of the subjects you so desire to expound on. The down side is the lack of food consumption that comes with speaking. I have over a term of service in the diplomatic wing of my nation's government have gained a personal experience or a few of lengthy words from an important host and as such it not an insult or bore to myself. However my friend Dizmulak, being of different background and generally one who rather enjoys speaking more than listening, might disagree." Waldo chuckled through the second half of the translation quietly.

Tiam looked down and saw one of the most ridiculously small foxes she had ever seen. There is no way that it could possibly have survived on its own. Or even with advanced medical care!
Then it talked.
"Why hello there! You must be very smart if you can talk."
Tiam cut off a piece of the steak and handed it to the little glowing fox.
"And who might you be?"
Tamarynn, noticing that it was no longer the center of attention, chirped at the newcomer, it's body ready to pounce at the cross fox, even though Tammy was a good three or four times bigger than him.

Captain Luca Rio"Well, she's more of a clone than anything." I said. "Same appearance, similar personality. She is much more evil than I am. And Tod, how did IX surprise you exactly? I figured that thing in there with the 'red stuff' was surprising enough." An ASF officer brought a coffee over for me. I always have one (or more) while I am on the Bridge. "Do not fear a length of words dear friend IX," said Waldo's translation. "As host and honored personage of the events to come you have the right and privilege to speak at length on any of the subjects you so desire to expound on. Waldo chuckled through the second half of the translation quietly. President Elect IX"Nah, it's a story for another time. I might remember to tell it before the Enterprise heads back to Earth after the Inauguration." I picked up Tamarynn and put it in my lap before it attacked Alani or something. At this point, I am done eating, so I am just talking. "Also, you'll be hearing a lot of me once we get to Haroma. I am thinking of going to the moon first and give a short tour of the Superfactory there. When there, everyone can get a free weapon of their choice... as long as you aren't asking for a tank. "Since I am on the subject, I might as well go over a basic plan for the first day of the two before Inauguration. "On the planet, we will land at the Gracaria Air Force Base and then get everyone checked into a hotel. Once everyone is settled, we will head over to the Imperial Palace and meet the Emperor and Empress. After that I intend to split up a little bit. "Like, I think your Admiral would like to visit the ASF Academy. I can arrange him to meet with the ASF Fleet Admiral. He's the guy in charge of our entire space force. Meanwhile, the politicians might like the Capitol Building. There will be some Senate session in progress more than likely. "After that, I can leave you all to explore the city on your own will. There will be an escort of course though just so you don't accidently get hit by a car or something. Hey, maybe if you're lucky we can get stuck on the Gracaria Superhighway in rush hour. Ever see 10 billion cars in gridlock?" "Gracaria has a population of 15 billion people, Haroma in total has about 23 billion. The rest are split over four or five other major cities. I laughed a little about the highway. They will see what I mean in a week.

Tod smirked and held out his hand to her, showing off the ring. "He asked me to marry him!" he giggles and squirms a bit in his seat, before sighing happily and looking about the bridge. "Makes me happy... it's been so long since I have had anyone to really care about, and vice versa..." he looked back at her and smiled softly. ----- Alani sniffed a bit of the steak, then shook his head, smiling happily up at Tiam, not even noticing the wraithpup that was plotting against him. "I'm Alani! Tod's son... you know, the white Foxy?" he giggles before curling halfly in her lap, tail flicking about in a happy manner. "Who are you? Huh? Huh??"

"I am Lady Commander Tiam. IX and I are getting married...well, having the proper ceremonies and such. And yes..I know your father, in a few years, I'm sure you'll be as tall as he is. So, how did he manage to have you hmm? You look like you fell out of a flower, you're so small."
Tiam decided to order some desserts, to see what else Haroma tasted like. She hoped they had chocolates. She loved chocolates.
"Anything I can get for you my little glowing friend?"

I sure hope IX intends to tell him about Tiam... "He... what? Huh. Honestly, I never expected anything like that from him. It's kind... really... strange coming from him. Still, I guess I should have seen it coming. "Sorry, was thinking out loud sort of. Still, congratulations. I am happy for both of you."

Tod smirked and closed his eyes, leaning back into the chair with a happy sigh. "Strange or not... he seems to have taking a very grand liking to me... maybe it's something in the air" he says, before standing up and adjusting his pants at the waist, before sitting back down, clearing his throat before pointing at Alueza. "Access database 16, and bring up the designs for the Capitol tower." and sure enough, the ship hologram turned into a building hologram, the structure itself standing 13 miles high according to the numbers. Alueza scratched her head before pointing about mid-way of the tower. "Should we devote this section to Industry? Or..." "No... I think that we should keep the lower half for civilian life... and then the top for military" he separated the two sections and colored them into red and green. "Lower section would be for civilians, like doctors, scientists... the higher things of life... then of course, the higher you go, you'd notice more military control, before suddenly PING! You have the tower turn fully military..." he sighs and taps his nose in thought. "Maybe we... naaah, we need civilian workers in there to make it function properly" "Seems okay to me like that... half and half it?" ----- Alani grinned up at her before giggling softly. "Ice Cream?" Ina perked her ears before giving a sharp and stern 'NAT!' toward him, looking at Tiam. "I said no ice cream Alani, you're being punished"
