"Ooh! Another Cortana Fox!" says Alueza, grinning a bit at LucAI before moving over to get a closer look at the other AI, her blue ghost-like figure standing out against the chair material.
"Yes, well... I don't think she looks like a Cortana Fox, she's too pretty for that" says Tod, smirking and admiring the ring again before sighing softly, sinking back a slight bit into his seat before yeeping when he seen a flash of red before his eyes, rubbing them before looking up and seeing a shadow appear in front of him, before it slowly faded away.

LucAICortana... I remember that name too. IX used to play that game. "Well, not a fox, a wolf thank you very much." I noticed Tod liked the ring. "That stone on the ring is actually quite special. There are very few of those left. I know cost is no matter, but that stone there cost well over one billion dollars, and that's only like, 20 carats. "You'll notice, over the course of a day, that it changes color. The stone, as far as we know, is only found on Haroma. The Emperor calls it the Heartstone. Why he does that, I will never know."

"Really..." she nodded before chuckling softly. "Well, either way, you look like the same design as me... though I suspect your processing speed can only process 10,000 years of data, and get full understanding of it within about six hours time"
Tod nodded before reaching into his pocket, pulling a crystal from it and holding it up. "Something like this then? Only more or less produced by the rarity of your planet?" one would notice the crystal was absorbing only a small bit of light, and reflecting it back out in an aura that changed colors as it slowly orbited the crystal. He compared the ring stone to the crystal, then shook his head. "No no, nevermind, they're two different rocks"
"Well, this is true, because I don't know how much a crystal like ours would fetch on their planet..." she giggles before sprawling out on the arm of the chair. "I also need to complete that Skyship design... after all, it is the next step toward national defense on the waterfront"

And I am not competing with you over how much I can process. I am here to control this ship, help the crew, and what not. Considering I am the first real AI in the Empire, I think I am adequate for a program that doesn't exist. "What I mean is, the Emperor hates AIs and any real technology. He believes that it will threaten his reign. IX will change that when he becomes the Imper- the President. I personally believe that the Empire will enter a golden age not seen since the end of the Second Federation War. "Heh, I am going into a history lesson with you when you probably know nothing about what I am saying. IX will give everyone quite a history lesson when on the planet."

"Indeed, so I guess I am a scary ghostly figure that is a threat to your emperor, rawr!" she giggles and shakes her head before being poked by Tod. "Heeyy... I am not a poke target!"
"You are when you are being silly" he pokes at her again before going back to typing with a soft sigh. "I wonder what else awaits us on the trip... oh! Can I ask a question?"

Princess Lyie had been quiet, trying not to offend anyone, as it seem rather easy to do in these parts. She had sent one of her group to get a bottle of inteerie whisky, they had returned with the bottle. It was not the best one she had with her, she was saving that for a gift to the emperor, but it wasn't that bad.
The green furs always muttered about giving away inteerie whisky to foreigners, well the good stuff, as very few could tell the difference between a cheap bottle and a good one, let alone a good bottle and a superior one.
The simple fact was most non-green furs didn't remember the taste or appreciated how much effort when into making the stuff. To them it was just rocket fuel that got you out of your head very fast. This attitude was common in the commonwealth and abroad equally. Most green furs hated high rollers that knew nothing of the drink buying 100 year old bottles to show off when they clearly knew nothing of the drink except it was expensive.
Lyie put the bottle on the table it was a 25 year old from a good distillery.
"Here you are, sorry for the delay. I would advise against drinking more than a very little and will not be held responsible for it's effects or your behaviour after drinking it. It is very powerful and please don't let your glass get near anything that might ignite it.
I will not be drinking from it as it is not to my taste but it is no more toxic than it is meant to be. But I would suggest you exorcize restraint if you have not drunk it before." Lyis smiled.
In leefen one of Lyies party said "This could get very messy, very fast." "It would be ill mannered not to provide a bottle and they have been very clearly warned." Lyie replied.
The bottle was full of a strange green liquid.

"You know, who honestly listens to warnings anymore. I guarantee that half of us in here will get drunk off it and bad things will happen. And since this is MY ship, it is MY law and I WILL hold you responsible for the actions. This goes for everyone, not just you anarchist bastards." I better lay the law down now and make sure everyone is aware of my rules. IX said, "Luca, that was uncalled for. I am trying to use this trip to help bring nations together and you're tearing international relations apart." "They are the enemy!" IX stood and smashed his fists into the table. "I DON'T CARE!" I think this is the first time he has been mad in a while. "Fine... I will stop." He sat back down. "Good. Now, please, let's hope this is uneventful for the rest of the night."

"Captain, I must protest as to how our friends are being treated", Andertol finally got up and said. He was holding both his shoes. (because of one of the earlier disagreements/outbursts taking place during the dinner, he removed them. It's a... weird... long story as to why he does that). "You, or perhaps the Emporer, by proxy of you, seems to throw the 'enemy' label around quite easily. I don't see any rational reason why Cal is an enemy to the ASE. Everything that's happened so far, I would label as diplomatic ineptitude, but not aggression. Annoyance, perhaps.
An enemy is something different. An enemy is a clear and present danger to you, an enemy harbors an intent. An enemy doesn't just take prisoners, an enemy seeks to cause as much harm as possible. An enemy would be holding a sword to your throat, and would take pleasure in not hestitating to slash it.
Cal is not these things.
The Calie leadership seems to wish that you to conduct diplomacy with them in a less monolithic fashion, captain. I would be happy to help facilitate this so that you may overcome this cultural divide.
When that incident with the paper occured back when you first arrived, Vuela was on the phone with Prime Minister Salato in minutes to try to resolve this. The Calie decided to let it go because they didn't want to back down in case you were hostile.
And considering some of the things your Emporer said during that conference, can you blame them?
The attempt to scramble communications, which I have heard a rumor about, but assume that it has been held against them nonetheless. If they did such a thing it was an attempt to assess the situation. I admit, not the most tactful way to do it, but can you blame them for trying to figure out if the conference was a diversion?
None of these things, are actual aggression.
I may be going out on a limb here, and Princess Liye can correct me, if she wishes to do so..."
Andertol then looked at Liye and said, quietly, "But I highly recommend you don't because I'm trying to help you out here."
He then continued to address the captain: "But my country and Cal have come to understand one-an-other somewhat. Enough that we're not at each others throats and we certainly aren't throwing around the label 'enemy' regarding each other.
You have to earn their trust, as you do with all of us, I'm sure. If anything, the Calie are just very overt about that.
But most importantly, the whole reason why this rancor exists in the first place is because of a demeaning comment made by your Emporer, Captain. Followed by an ill-conceived attempt to counter the Emporer's untactful statement made by Duke Leck at his sole discretion, I'm sure.
With that said, Captain, I am going to forgive you for calling my friends 'the enemy' because this is your ship, and because you might not have known all the details of how that so-called enemy label became attached. Now you know."
Andertol sat back down again.

President Elect IX
"Andertol, I hope you know that I was the one that labeled them as such. Not the Emperor, definitely not the Captain. It was my doing.
"Jamming the communications, I can handle. That was actually with me alone and they were asking me what I thought of the Emperor. Still, I can deal with it. That incident with the metal thing, that I can deal with. Just a cut. However, they also committed one of the gravest mistakes for any diplomat in the ASE. Let me tell you the story behind it.
"About.... 900 years ago, the ASE was beginning to create a fair sized stellar empire. They allied themselves with the Galactic Federation, the biggest, most powerful nation in the galaxy at the time. Well, of course the Aneans thought they were protected.
"There was a diplomatic meeting. The 5 best Anean diplomats met with the 5 Federation ones to work out some treaty that would extend the strength of the alliance. Well, the meeting went on for weeks with no ending in sight. However, the Aneans thought they had and irrefusable offer, and they put it on the table. The Federation walked out on the meeting.
"Life went on as normal of course afterward. It was a failed negotiation. But, only 6 hours after the Federation diplomats walked out, their fleets annihilated the Anean space fleet over Haroma. The Emperor was captured, billions died on Haroma, and that began the longest and most costly war the Aneans ever knew.
"Since that day, walking out on a meeting showed intent for a war. THAT is why I called them enemies. I don't care if they knew our culture and customs or not, but I knew that if I didn't do the normal response then the Empire would look down on their Hero.
"Do note though that only the head of state can remove that title once it is given. That is why I intend to remove it as one of the first actions of my Presidency. The Emperor won't, I already tried.
"This wasn't started by a comment made in response to the Emperor. I don't care. I hate the Emperor. But I will uphold Anean tradition when necessary.
"Also Andertol, clearly YOU didn't know all the details as to how it was attached."

Of the Tinisian delegation, the exchanges thus far had gotten three different reactions. Waldo had looked on with curious concern. Dizmulak was paying attention but had been spending plenty time whipping sauce and other things from his fur thanks to a certain Miokalian. Umfaro seemed completely indifferent and had not looked up from his food since it arrived.
However, at this point, Waldo felt he should say something. Alas, Dizmulak got in first.
"So a traditionalist you are being then?" came the translation's odd voice of the wold. "This person that is me can quite appreciate and respect and enjoy such. One must ponder the possibilities however of what traditions and plans of order exist with your peoples and grand nation of space. If you would indulge us perhaps an educational lesson in the etiquettes of the Aneans would be proper since we shall be all assembled here minus one of that delegation and the manners of my friend from the lands of Miokalia."

"This is about walking-out on a meeting? General...", Andertol started but was then interrupted by Herdez, "Thank you, General IX for stating your intent to resolve this the right way."
Andertol then looked at Liye really quick, then Vuela.
Vuela said, "Leck."
Andertol said to IX, "This is about Leck? You have t...", he hesitated, he knew that Liye might disagree with him about this, or maybe not, but he was concerned because Salato actually let the Duke off the hook during the paper incident but he didn't know about this, "Leck is...", he stopped. Some latent reserve of self control kicked in and stopped him from saying what he was beginning to assemble.
Vuela said, "Please excuse Andertol, he is very passionate about resolving this misunderstanding, there's a lot of people back home who have a lot on this. And we were very much under the impression that this nature of this misunderstanding was cultural."
Andertol, "General IX, we need to talk. After Dinner." Vuela added, "Whenever is convenient."
Herdez now stood, he was angry, as was Echrak. "Princess Liye is not Duke Leck. They should not be treated as pariahs."

There is an office in there which I will use. And I apologize for my officer's actions, but she, like many Aneans in the colony, will not forgive something like that. As with my example, when the Federation did it, we ended up in a cold war for the last 900 years. It is still going. I, however, will not forgive it, but I am willing to let the incident go since the Cali seem willing to be diplomatic." "So a traditionalist you are being then?" came the translation's odd voice of the wold. "This person that is me can quite appreciate and respect and enjoy such. One must ponder the possibilities however of what traditions and plans of order exist with your peoples and grand nation of space. If you would indulge us perhaps an educational lesson in the etiquettes of the Aneans would be proper since we shall be all assembled here minus one of that delegation and the manners of my friend from the lands of Miokalia." "Actually, a lot of it is common sense. There isn't much tradition that is followed anymore. But, especially on Haroma and in the presence of the Emperor, there are some which are necessary. The main one, for foreigners mostly, is to bow to the Emperor. Not in obedience, but as respect. "The Emperor doesn't expect all but the most basic respect. Like, he doesn't like all the stuff that comes with it. You will notice he never wears the crown, never sits on the throne, never wears the regalia. He is a down to earth... or Haroma... kind of person. But he is horrible at diplomacy, as he proved at our first meeting. "And I am not a traditionalist, but I do follow most military and political tradition. Traditions, while good for preserving a culture, I believe can hold a nation back from reaching its full potential if the nation is mired in it. Like, if every step was somehow sacred and you had to say a prayer for it. I hope you know what I mean." I fixed my red armband. To me, it looks like the old Nazi ones, but with a pentagram instead of a swastika. Then I remembered something. "Oh, Haroma is also the most religious planet in the Empire. That's what this armband is for. Personally, I don't follow it, but most of the Empire does and they expect me to do the same. If the symbol offends, then I apologize, but what it generally means on Earth is not the same as what it means in the Empire and it just happens to be the symbol of the national religion."

This time Waldo interrupted Dizmulak. "We do our best to respect the many religions that we have encountered and observed. I must admit that I was pondering the meaning of that arm band myself. During the last major human war on Earth my nation was not yet begun nor founded proper. One could say that we were enduring our own issues with illegitimate dictators while other parts of the world were doing the same. So the symbology that would most offend the sensibilities of my self or my country friends is different from that that offends many others, though we understand quite deeply the implications all the same. It is indeed an unfortunate coincidence that the faith of Haroma's symbology shares motif structure with that of an evil empire in our world's past."
Waldo sipped his drink quickly. Dizmulak almost butted in. "But I must explain that at least of the three of us, I am bound to be curious about the faiths of foreigners. I do not know nor care about the views on the matter of my compatriots. But I am one whom seeks to know."

Vuela asked, "What's the policy on accompanying AI's in the presence of the Emporer? Is it different for holograms and drones?"
