(Pah! I hate typing intro posts... Aatu crash! Whee!!)
The echoing pops and booms of something could be heard from above as the midnight sky was turned from the blackest of nights, to straight daylight, the cloud cover over the region causing object to be hidden from view until it came crashing through the clouds.
A fireball, what exactly it was, no one was sure, but whatever it was, it was big, and had been aimed for a northern mountain. The object smashed into the side of the mountain, followed by several smaller objects that peppered the area around the main impact, creating a ring of fire in a sense around the ground zero section of the newly formed crater.
The Impact itself had been hard enough that it registered 4.2 on the Richter scale across the northern part of the region, and even lower for areas far out from the zone. If one was to do a scan, they'd see an area of extreme heat being put out from the impact zone - a given for anything falling from orbit - as well as a single, minute X-Ray signature at the very dead center of the heat signature. The rays themselves were vibrant enough to be able to be noticed, but weren't to the level to where they were lethal to anything, or even dangerous.
What was this strange object that had fallen from the skies on a hazed night? And the bigger question: What did it bring toward the world it had landed upon? Resources? Life? Weapons? Brain eating zombies?

Northern Aaturin River
It was a normal night, like any other...then the sky lit up, as in daylight, and the fishermen could see each other...if they had been awake. It was not too long that the light faded, and a loud crash was heard, shaking, and scaring, the fishermen from their slumber.
They turned their boats, as quick as they could. They had to alert the River Patrol, who knows what that was?
Majiin Observatory
Lyhng was writing star charts as part of his apprenticeship, when he saw.....something. He couldn't get the large telescope to move fast enough to track it..but it was bright...the afterglow remaining in his eyelids for several minutes. Then...a distant thunder... A meteorite? There hasn't been one of those since... This could make his career! He had to get an expedition going...but who would follow someone who wasn't even a journeyman yet?
Lyhng jumped as he heard a knock at his door, his ears twitching.
"Lyhng, the Headmaster has something that might interest you."
What? How...? ...didn't matter. The Headmaster called, and he had to answer.
Lyhng begrudgingly left his post at the telescope to head to the Headmaster's chambers.
Civil Defense Station Gamma, Arvor
Hrrm...
The radar was acting up. Probably damn storms again.
No one in Aatuylva had anything that moved that fast.. Just a glitch.
Stidham's Personal Residence
Something...woke him up.
Stidham didn't know what, or why, but he was awake. His dark ceiling taunted him with shadows and movements that weren't really there, enemies that existed in his mind's eye.
What?

One of the downed pods
The hatch of the strange, jet black and smoking pod blew itself open and smacked into a few of the trees nearby from the sheer force of the discharge, three conscious crew members crawling out in full gear, or at least what they called standard duty gear back home. "Two dead, the other ten are out cold" says a male voice from within the pod, the three survivors beginning to spread out and set up a slight parimeter around the pod.
"At least it's better than the Mirinasian crash!" says Yaha, turning around and tapping hir visor, causing the night time scenery to be illuminated by a holographic visor, a simple piece of technology. "Don't go too far, we wait for evac, kill anything that damn well comes out of the woodlands," shi looks at the other two infantrymen "and keep your masks on, we don't know if this planet is a toxic or not!" shi adds, giving a short grunt afterward before beginning to scan the area around them, wondering what all was present... and a clue to where they could be.
Crash Site
Blair groaned and slowly stood up as he heard the alarms of the ship wailing, as well as the crackles of electric circuits and wires that had been knocked loose from the impact. "Grh... Remind me again WHY we had to crash down to this God Foresaken Dirtball, do a barrel roll, and slam into a fucking mountain, again?!" asks the Collie, giving an accuzing glare toward Michael, who was out cold still.
"Because of the attackers... well, the damage they did before we went into jump, at least" says the ship's A.I., who appeared on the half functioning HUD of the captain's chair, it's image crackling and flickering much like everything else on the ship. "That crash did hurt, you know, I felt it throughout my entire structure"
"Shut it, and release fire containment gel," he growls and tries to move his left arm, letting out an echoing yelp when he felt that his shoulder was broken. "Rrgh! Last thing we need to do is walk out into a Volcano, or a forest fire..."
"Already doing so, the fires should be mostly contained internally within the hour, and externally within a few days" says the A.I., looking over toward Michael and tsking softly. "Poor guy... he's lucky he wasn't on the lower panels..."

River Patrol Station, East of Majiin
Prime Jessa was doing what he did most of the time while on duty: Sleep. Sleep like there is no tomorrow.
No one goes this far north, except the fishing villages.
No conflicts, no gunrunners, not even a lousy bandit raid will approach Majiin.
Nothing..at all. Ever. Happened.
"Hey boss, we've got some local fishers, wantin to talk to you."
Dammit...
"All right, alright, what's the matter?"
Jessa heard conflicted reports about loud thunders, fire in the sky... Somewhere near the river mouth?
Dammit. He'd have to go check on it.
So much for his nap...
Jessa got his hat off of the top of the lamp on his desk, and brought the bad news to the lads in the barracks upstairs...time to get the patrol boats moving.
------------------------
Lyhng didn't know how the Headmaster knew about the object, or why he was so sure it wasn't a meteor...but Lyhng knew better than to not trust his judgement...although, he didn't look anything like the rumors suggested.
And now, he was on a survey team that was going to be dispatched, by heli, to the site of the impact of....whatever it was.... So exciting!

"Containment of fires on decks 1 through 29 are complete, just watch your step" says the A.I., before flicking toward the status screen when it came back online completely. "Yay! Bigger display!" Blair rolled his eyes and gritted his teeth when his shoulder was reset, groaning afterward with a soft sigh. "Good... maybe we can take a damage control total..." he says, looking toward the working communications panel as a Cheetah fidgeted about with the controls. "Any idea where we are? Or if we have any friendlies near?" "None, sir, but the pods are active, so once the Hangar is up and running, we should be able to recover the lost crews" says the Cheetah, giving a soft smile toward the Collie before spinning around on her heel. "Permission to go take a shower, sir!" "Granted" Blair chuckles a bit and shakes his head a bit, looking over at Michael Michael snorted and glared at his own panel, trying to get the radar and sensor systems back online with every little tap, punch, poke and kick to the wirebox, even going as far as dismantling the control unit to the chair he was in. "Damn it! Work!" he barks at it, smacking the control screen once again, one of the more 'important' sensors coming back online: Atmosphereic analysis. "Huh... looks like the atmosphere is composed of oxygen and nitrogen... and a bit of hydrogen too" he headtilts, then spins around in his chair with a soft chuckle. ----- Yaha grumbled and looked at her unit as they all got ready to move, gathering all equipment they could from the Pod before sniffing a bit of the air. "I smell water" shi mutters, looking back at the two medics as they hoisted a hurt soldier up on a stretcher, shaking hir head slowly from side to side. "Don't drop her, she has a spine injury that we can't treat!" shi adds, beginning to walk into the forest, rifle primed to fire at the slightest of movements. The soldiers that could began to spread out, forming a defense ring around the medics, following their commanding officer into the woodlands as well, though letting hir take point to make sure the path was clear and safe for the most part. The last soldier that was on the pod set up an explosive charge, throwing it into the downed pod and running off to catch up with his unit.

Prime Jessa yawned as the three gunboats under his command got under way...the men got their usual gear, flechers, a flamer, and the gun boats were armed with standard machine guns and gren launchers... Resh insisted on bringing his .80 in case there's something worth shooting for dinner. Gods Jessa hoped so... Three months of the same old ration garbage...although the fishermen were often kind enough to drop off some of their catch if they netted a lot... He watched as the tall wolf lugged the monster aboard with its fittings and tripod. How he managed to fire the damn thing was anyone's guess....though, truth be told, he was glad that he had it. Wraithwolf mating season was a dangerous time, even for the riverfolk.
He tucked on his captain's hat and ordered the men to turn on the searchlights, and set forward...
Time to find this 'fallen star'....
------------------------
Lyhng saw the heli land outside his window as he was packing his notes and trekking gear.
How'd they get it here so fast?
The Headmaster must be really interested in the meteor...
Lyhng went down a mental checklist of the things he'd need:
Light armor, check...hunting revolver...check.....boots...check...overnight pack..check.. Well...here goes nothing, eh?
The young panther straightened his coat and headed out to the landing pad..

Yaha threw hir hand up to signal everyone to stop as soon as shi reached the river, glaring down at it with a soft sigh. "Great..." shi mumbles, not even sure about the water on this planet, for all shi knew, it could be laced with corrosive acid that'd eat their flesh clean off! Shi sighed and looked back at a few of the soldiers that were just a few inches away from hir, giving a soft smile before pointing back at the tree line. "Let's move back a few meters, and set up a temporary camp." shi says, knowing they'd check along the river as soon as the Evacs were up and running, or so shi hoped. The two foxes nodded and turned tail as they ran back into the forest, speaking in Yamato to tell everyone to set up a temporary position, and to not wander off from the group. ----- Blair blinked a few times and glared up at a German Shepherd when she came walking into the bridge, giving a soft growl of annoyance toward her. "And what do I owe this visit, sis... I didn't even know you were on the ship, until now!" he says, only to flinch when she pointed a finger between his eyes, nearly poking him between them. "Simple, I am a pilot, and I have the only functioning Havoc," she smirks and flicks him across the nose. "I will be ready to go once you are done putting out your little mess, brother" she adds, giggling in an impish manner before giving a downright evil grin toward the Collie. Blair wriggled his nose, then snorted and shook his head. "No, I am not allowing you to l-" "So, you'd rather our evacuated teams stay out in the Wildes, exposed to alien elements, creatures, plants, and possibly a toxic atmosphere, and not recover them?" "No I-" "Then let me go... my ship is immune to radar, so if there is anything capable of seeing me besides a buncha freaking plants," she snorts and looks at Michael. "And you! You owe me something when I get back" she adds, turning and walking off the bridge with an 'innocent' whistle escaping her muzzle. Blair sighs and shakes his head slowly from side to side, rubbing his eyes in annoyance before slinking down into his chair, his ears pinning back to his head. "How the hell can she bend my will..." he asks, looking up at Alison when she ruffled his hair, causing him to grumble and groan softly. "She's a girl, Blair, we manipulate people sometimes... even ourselves" she says, looking back over at the single cryotube that was stored onboard the bridge, giving a soft sigh toward it. "At least that one is safe..."

That's definitely not good...
Smoke...a forest fire? Hrrm. A meteor strike then..that would match up with the stories...
Bah.
"Give me the radio......This is Prime Jessa, possibility of wild fires in the northern sector, near the river mouth. A meteor hit most likely. Have the engineering corps stand by."
The last thing he needed was a fire to rush the Wraithwolves down to the civilian areas....
Jessa cursed the gods for giving him such old boats..slow, noisy things, and it'd take him forever to find the source of that glow..the smoke was coming from many areas.. did it break apart?
"Hey, Resh, see anything worth shootin yet? I'm bettin we can leave this to the AEC, and I'm lookin forward to something better than the slop they give us."
"Nothing yet boss, a wraith or two, but they know better than to be harassin us.."
"Well why don you take one of them down?"
"And risk pissin off their mother? Hell no."
Ugh..this was going to be a long night.

"Huh... anyone else hear an annoying buzzing?" asks Blair, perking a brow before a panel behind him literally exploded into a large fireball, causing him to flinch and nearly fall out of his chair from the shock of it. "You've got to be kidding me..." he mumbles, looking back at the exploded panel. "Well that means we can't leave, Frey's Ghost!!" "Scream louder, the people in China can't hear you yet!" says Dustin, grumbling and trying to fix another circuit before it has the same episode. "Tanyta, someone get me a soder pistol down here!" he adds, yanking the entire circuit board clean out of it's spot, causing the weapons systems to crash and go offline. "Like we need those right now anyhow!" Blair sighed softly and shook his head. "Yeah? Well, our life support systems went FZZT just now, so we could all die of suffocation within a few hours if the atmos-" "Don't worry" says Alison, piping in and cutting the Collie off. "I checked, it's a bit more... humid, but it's like ours, almost a hundred percent" she says, spinning around and bringing up the chart for the dog to see. "I stand corrected, but my point remains!" he sighs and grumbles, noticing that a few more of the pods on the 'safe' decks were starting their dethaw process. "Is that normal?" he points at the main screen, which was showing at least sixteen people on deck twenty-three and nineteen beginning to show lifesigns and consciousness. "Because if it's not? We're gonna have a few pissed off colonists on our hands..." ----- Yaha could of sworn shi heard voices when shi sat down, shrugging afterward and giving a soft mock-yawn to signal shi was downright bored trecking through the forest, and this entire incident overall. Just like shi was back home. "So tell me, any guess on when Evac, or anyone for that matter, is going to show up?" shi asks, looking down at a small cross-fox when she came padding over, rubbing up against hir leg with a soft churr. "Heh... and aren't you a cutie..." shi kneels down and slowly picks the little Fox up, looking at her collar and seeing that she was a sentient. "And I know you're a talker too... so don't try to sugar me up too much missy!" "Aw..." she pouted a bit at the Wolf before flicking her large, aqua blue glowing ears upward at the sound of something. "Even on this planet, I can tell when Blair is complaining..." she adds, snickering and nestling into Yaha's embrace with a soft sigh. "But as far as anyone showing up? I have no clue... I just hope whoever shows up, is friendly, maybe a Ferian like me!" "Now now, us Bipedal Mammalians are nice... and some Reptilia are lovable too!" shi says, petting over the little Cross Fox with a soft sigh. "You're not even old enough to fight, are you little one?" "Erk!" she flinched and tensed up, then whined softly toward hir. "But... I... I'm part of the SF thanks to daddy!" "Heh... you're not old enough, kiddo, thus why you're here on this God Forsaken world..." shi shook hir head and looked down at the little Fox, tipping her head up to look at hir. "Just listen... you might be a youngun, but you're mine... listen to what I say, and you won't get hurt, or eaten, or killed, or burned alive..."

"Focus the searchlights there! Now!"

A flash of silver, a form...gone!
"Ahoy! You there!"

From the cockpit of the Ilyushin IL86 jet-liner, a wolf pilot looked out the window and saw the large ditch-crater carved-out by the crash-landing of the Aluez ship. Although, he didn't know that's what it was. He tapped the GPS box and said to the copilot: "Dorpokoy. This doesn't look like the usual scenery." The co-pilot, a purple raptor looked on the screen and said, "That looks like something blew up, and took quite a bit of the woods with it."
Numerous passengers also saw the scar in the ground from that side of the plane. So the raptor got on the PA system and said,
"Ladies, Gentlemen and everyone in-between this is your captain speaking, You might be seeing a smoldering scar on the landscape below. We are unsure of it's origin but it is apparently something which occured recently, so we have reported it to defensive authorities in both our home and destination jurisdictions. Also we will be arriving at Qoo H. Bocuma International Airport in Hokyldaryon on-schedule in about 3 hours, thank you once again, for choosing Ekraktiet Airlines."
------------------------------------
Military authorities then contacted the best-known contact in Aatuylva regarding the massive span of scorched and scarred ground, specifically, if it was an accident and if they needed any help. (At this point, they wanted to make sure it wasn't something like a nuclear accident that might become a major international hazard).

"And then papa said that I looked rediculous in a skirt, I mean, come on! I'm a Ferian, how else would I look in one?" she giggles and prrrs softly before hearing something coming closer, which seemed to be some sort of motor, or engine. "Uhm... Yaha?" she looks up at the Wolf, who heard it as well. "I hear it little one..." shi says softly, whistling once to tell everyone to keep quiet, before looking toward the river, hir visor scanning until it laid upon the three boats, doing a quick once over, shi could see lights, guns, people! "Shit!" shi shouts, spinning around and barking twice, which meant SCATTER!, and literally, that's what everyone did: Scatter like roaches as soon as the light hit, taking cover in the trees, behind them, in the bushes, and hiding as best as they could. Across the squad's visors would be displayed this message: Locals, and they're armed too, so beware people. I don't know if they're hostile or not, but if they display hostile intent, I am having the first shot off on them and making sure it's not gonna turn bloody for our side! Yaha remained in hir spot and remained hidden halfly behind a tree, waiting for one to come ashore and find hir if they were bold enough to do so. ----- "Aircraft... so it proves that there is intelligent life on this planet..." says the ship's A.I., watching the plane beginning to go on it's way. "Blair, we might have visitors, let's hurry and get our people b-" "Tell me something I don't know Alueza," he says in annoyance, helping the head engineer up to his feet with a soft growl. "Now let's check this reactor, last thing we want to do is have THIS go off and take half of the sector with it!" "Yes sir, so far it looks untouched but..." the RObin sighs and shakes his head. "We can't be too sure about anything... after all, we did have twenty percent of our hull structure integrity crushed under the impact when we hit the mountain!" "Are you certain it was twenty? I mean... we hit it at near mach seven, I coulda sworn that was more than twenty on the screen!"

University of Majiin
It was difficult shuffling the call to the proper authorities, mainly due to translation issues, but eventually it got to the desk of one of the head researchers being sent to the site...an Artificer Sentir. He was fairly rude, and was short and to the point.
"No, we don't need any help, from what we can tell, its just a meteor impact. You can send your researchers in after we have completed our initial analysis, now if you'll excuse me, I am on my way there now."

Prime Jessa's Position, Northern Aaturin
"Well, damn. Alright lads and ladies, I've gotta call this in..gimme that radio again."
Jessa keyed in for command, knowing that the relays at his patrol house would pass it along.
"This is Prime Jessa, River Patrol. I'm investigating a meteor strike and have come across some foreigners, possible probing force, I don't know. Requesting reinforcements and orders."
After a minute of static...
"This is Majiin Air Control. We'll have some choppers sent to your position. Fire up a screamer so our boys'll see it."
Damnit...
From the groans and protests around him, he knew his crew were of the same bent.
He took the screamer pistol off of his belt...it was a blocky looking thing, designed to fire a flare rocket...the rocket itself, was designed to 'whistle'...so that one could pinpoint location without needing a chopper in the deep jungle. In actuality, it screams through the air with a sound that can be heard for miles. It'll make anyone jump, and earns many attempts at killing the shooter.
"Alright, everyone safety and stand down your weapons. Resh, get off that monster, and all gunners stand where I can see you. If you shoot at me when I fire this, I will feed you to the ruddy piranhas."
He placed earplugs into his ears as everyone groaned and plugged theirs with their fingers/claws...
And fired it into the air.
And true to its word, the glowing red flare screamed upward, causing many of the crewmen of the three boats pain, and several curses were shouted after the ringing in their ears died down.

"FRIG!" shouts Yaha, as well as two others, promptly popping out of cover and using their abilities to the best of their own. Three shots, all smashing into the flare pistol and finding their home in the base of a tree afterward, completely destroying the strange device. Obviously much like the locals, the visitors didn't like it all that much either! The two soldiers - a raccoon and a dragon - both had glowing red eyes, and circuit path-like markings all over their visible body, panting and trying to recover from the shock from the sound. "I guess we converse with the locals!" says Yaha, looking at the two and throwing hir hands up in a 'WHATEVER!' movement, signalling for everyone except for the two soldiers to remain hidden as best as they could, and be ready to have cover fire for them if the locals did turn hostile. ----- "Note to self..." says Alueza, writing something on the main screen of the bridge as everyone rushed about to do their jobs. "Get a job on a Battleship next time Ariyanna decides to send out a ship on a colonization mission" she sighs and shakes her head, looking back at her sensor echoes at the area around her, looking for more aircraft, and having her other hand resting on the alarm button just encase something tried to land on her ship. "The doors are jammed Liska, you're not leaving yet" "Forget you!" shouts the Sheppy over a comms link Alueza cackles and shakes her head slowly from side to side. "Naaahh... you'd be an idiot without me!" she says, closing the link before she got a reply. "I love my job..."
