I've been working on (since my acceptance of it) furring my life, surrounding me with things I enjoy, such as furry stuff. I've gotten furry books such as the S Andrew Swann books and "Scars" the ironclaw novel, thunercats shirt and belt, put up furry prints on my walls, gotten a cute snow leopard plushie, gotten hundreds of nice furry pics on my computer and such.

I'm slowly (aka, when I remember to) put up the few prints I've collected at cons, in addition to my big wolf (photographed) poster. And though it might look like a print among my other stuff, there is this one thing on my wall that's in fact a drawing I did of my fursona's eye. I also have a VG cats wall paper on my computer. And there's a couple tee's I picked up at cons now too.

Well, my room doesn't necessarily indicate anything in particular. There are a lot of plastic dinosaurs on my desk and a dragon plushie. The Jurassic Park poster, the fire dragon poster, another dinosaur poster amongst the other completely non-animal related design/art posters. I share an apartment with a someone else, and they have no idea (I intend to keep it that way) I don't really plan on going to a con, since most of the 'fur' stuff I'm into isn't quite as mainstream. Although I know there is a "scalie" section of the 'fandom', the non-anthro and scalie section is yet even smaller.
And VG cats *does* freaking rock.

Welcome to the board foxhood. As for furrying one's life, tis always up to the individual fur how they wish to pursue it and how far. But I can certainly share some of your predicament as I've been often to preoccupied with other actiivites to actively pursue a more furry life style.

I thankee kindly for the welcome! As to wishing to pursue a furry lifestyle, I have always balked against that as it involves adhering to another's belief, and as you say it is a fur's right to pursue it as they please. Btw, how would you define a more active furry lifestyle?

Well it kind of depends on how one views furry. If one is more into just the fan way of things, aka like the art or lit stuff, then I guess filling one's shelves with zines and such would be the thing to do. If one's searching to feel and be close to one's fursona, then such things like ears and tails might be more in line with the physical manifstation, and more behavioral things might start popping up like mewing and barking or what ever tis is ye fursona would do. But I guess in some ways just talking with furs, hanging with furs, or even going to conventions would constitute having a more intense furry way of doing things than previously. Some might even argue that one's activeness in a furry lifestyle might be reflected by how obviously one appears to be a fur, but I don't particularlly like that definition as it relies on the vision of others and not your own.

Agreed. I personally love the artwork, not so hot on the plushies and probably wouldn't wear ears and tail...this isn't because I want to be distanced from my fursona, but I feel that if it isn't real, it doesn't satisfy.

Hello all! My name is Lucius. I just started here in the Fur Fed. I live in Iowa, I have be furry for about nine months now. I have a tail (its a fox tail with silver on the end), I have a small amount of pictures, a number of pics I have downloaded (I should buy the actual pictures sometime), a pretty purple dog collar with one of my furry login names (wolffox) with a rabies tag (I didn't copy you Ciata, guess some furs think alike), a few plushies (a silly red dragon, a mouse, a wolf, a Charmander, & a Godzilla-like thing). I have never been to a con (though I would like to go to one), and live about 90 minutes away from the nearest fur to me. Oh, I also have a wolf calander in my bedroom. I have known Izixs for a while via IM, and that's how I got into NationStates. I hope you guy (and gals if there's any here) enjoy having me around!

Fwew, crazy months...
But I'm back, finally. I've been doing so much stuff lately, first massive school things to write, which killed my creative writing juices, then life problem, spiritual problems, emotional problems, etc. and after finally going up to Washington again to see my lovely girliance for the week, I feel much better...finally, so I'm back >^..^<
