Hey, I was wondering where and what else you guys do furry stuff at. I joined Furtopia a few days ago and really enjoy it there, and was also wondering how you guys go about being furry in normal life.

mmm, once in a blue moon, i'll slip onto furcadia, suddenly remember how much i hate 8bit/16bit graphics, and leave =P
i do some art, and need to get a better site for displaying it. with my creative writing class, i'm doing alot of furry literature. Oh, i have a tail.
ummm.... i think that's most of it... the varied forum and RP as well...

As for me, out side of this board I've been to a couple conventions now (MFF and Anthrocon), have written some stuff with furry content (though I should reall do more), I have a set of ears and hopefully soon I'll start decking my room out with more memorabilia. Also the random RPs across the net. And through a strange set of circumstances a couple months ago I became the head hancho for the Iowa furs livejournal community... ya know, right before I moved from Iowa to New Hampshire. :-p But I'll be doing my best to keep that community alive until someone who's interested in taking it over does so. I've also tried my hand at drawing, but I must say that drawing space ships is a lot easier than drawing any sort of life form, let alone complexly stylized ones such as how I like my furry art.
Behavior wise, I guess it helps that I can wiggle my ears in RL as in character. Personality quirks here and there give signs of a low level furry life style, but only those who know about it can pick up on it usually. Otherwise they might think my slightly pointy nails are just oddities of self upkeep. But that with my often bare feet, some of the sounds I make, and even my body movements when I'm in a not exausted mode give pointers to the trained eye about my furryness.

ah, a bare foot fur? i've heard about that, and seen a few websites on it. While it have inherited my fathers tough feet, i dont think it's a good idea to walk around town in bare feet, not to mention the school recently singled out bare feet in the student guidelines, though i know several who still get around it =P i try to put little hints and bits of my furry lifestyle into my everyday routine. I meditate for, oh, 30 seconds to a minute every morning, before i remember how late i am for school. It mostly comes out in my art though, and lately in my writing. I was brave enough, and stubborn enough, at one point last year to wear my tail to school for a week. Wow, what a week. Not something i'll go into great detail mind, but i found who my real friends were then, and imo, that was more important. Um... oh yea, i'm an organizer of a rather dead group of furs in my area, and seeing as there are, um, 2-3? of us who i've been able to dig out, it's not going anywhere fast. here's a site for the curiose. www.geocities.com/woosterfurryteens/index.htmli dont think that's everything, but that's what has come to mind since my last post =P

Yeah, my bare pawness is kind of limited to my apartment and some of the areas outside of it. Not enough callouses for the parking lots or most roads. (random sharp pebells suck) Though I really should try the foresty area just across the path to see how I can take and navigate the walnuts and sticks everywhere. But with time and practice I'll be able to tackle anything. I hope. At least when there's not snow on the ground. (frostbite also sucks, and I would like to avoid it)
Oh, fyi everyone why I've been slow at posting this week, tis the first full week of classes and I just getting adjusted to this schedule. I'll be getting back into full swing shortly. I might even get to posting something tonight!

Yeah, besides getting used to the new furry forum I also had two evil tests this week, one a 8am, and had one very, very rough night.
Me, I just broke it to some other online friends I have that I'm a fur, some of which spend some time with my family rarely, so who knows how that'll end up, most are just like, ".......huh?" The stunned silence is kinda annoying. I'm still working on telling my room mate, though I think he'll be acepting, because he's REALLY weird and reads Saburban Jungle. I'd prefer to not let it out at college though, not while I still live in the main dorms, surrounded by football players, literaly, one on every side of me, and they knock on my door randomly just to wake me up already.

Morning tests are never good. As are neighbors who harrasse you and anti-furs. I'll probably make it known to my roomies gradualy. In a couple weeks I'll put up a couple prints (probably one of the funier ones at least) and see how they take it. But who knows, it might blend in with the non-anthro wolf and dragon already up in their minds. But we'll see.
Yeah, when I was in the dorms I only let one of my roomies know and that's mainly because I was friends with him before that and because he's much odder than I (though him developing skizophrenia kind of bites).
