The Principality of Killer Zoids: Fact Sheet
Revised (Dec 29, 2010)
Flag of Killer Zoids, depicting the national animal, the Liger (Zero).
The Great Seal of Killer Zoids
Population Breakdown:
Species:
*Other includes citizens of canine, saurian, and Malych phenotype
Population Trends: As of recently, Kazian couples were almost always of the same species, or at least the same family (the scienciey kind, not the incestuous kind!). Same-sex couples are nearly as common as opposite-sex couples among these, but it is not uncommon to find members (especially of the vulpine species) doing it in large numbers. For the most part, individuals remain true to their mates regardless of these 'parties,' making them more socially acceptable.
A relatively small number of integrafurs exist in KZ. These are furs who have undergone surgical alterations to become bio-mechanical.
A small number of integrofurs exist in KZ. This classification extends over any sort of fully artificial life form, birthed of one organic parent and one inorganic (machine, zoid, malych, integrofur (theoretical)) parent, or (theoretical) 2 integrofurs. The specifics of how such a species comes into being are not fully understood as there aren't enough cases to be studied. Integrofurs are fully inorganic life and as such, are not considered citizens. This constitutional flaw is expected to be addressed. This is because it clashes with a fundamental citizenship right in KZ government; 'Any creature born in KZ capable of rational thought and explicit communication shall be given citizenship outright.'
Typical attire for a Kazian consists of soshoes, shoes, or boots on the feet, a thigh band for carrying wallets, phones, etc, an undercover across the groin. Long jackets are worn when temperatures dictate. More cosmetic attire, not necessarily always worn includes, a fancy bow-ribbon tied around the mid to tip section of a tail, a watch on the wrist, a collar around the neck, sunglasses or corrective lenses (or contact lenses), a hat, and music player with head/ear phones.
Typical highly formal dress consists of almost nothing, except soshoes, a tail ribbon, and any required-to-perform additions like glasses or similar.
Unemployment is moderate.
Strength of the cred is high.
Major Exporter Of:
Petroleum products including gasoline, oil, natural gas, plastics, and rubber
Mechanoid products
Automobiles
Major Importer Of:
ICs (computer chips)
Textiles
Major Industrial/Commercial Sectors:
AWood Powers - Government Regulatory Commission, every major industry is a derivative of AWP
Kuzoco - Killer Zoid's main petroleum industry
PowerCore Unlimited - Space research / high grade automotive developer
Duco Mectronics - Mechanical Engineering
VeryFineIndustries - Cybernetics
P.M.M. [Power Machine Mech] - Mechanical Engineering
Liger's Union/Tapinta - Telecommunications
CIC - Clean Industry Corporations, develop technologies and implementations for industry to protect the environment.
Government Style:
While the nation's title is referred to as Principality, this is merely a tradition. The actual governing system in use is a social republic by panel, which has elections for offices every 4 years. These offices rotate yearly, so every year is an election year.
Major issues or any issue involving the placement or repeal of taxes are put up to a nationwide vote, where each person of voting age (18) may choose to vote on the issue. This system was put in place by vote during the Strikes of 1977, when income tax rates reached a record 95%.
All issues are accessible in full text, and layman text on the internet. Each fiscal related issue points out specifics of what will change. All candidates are given equal, unbiased air time on the election channel. No other electoral advertising is permitted for federal candidates and incumbents. (Providence and Local governments are responsible for their own electoral systems).
Industry:
The extension of government in industry, AWP, is controlled by a panel of 233 members from each province of Killer Zoids. Each province elects their panelist(s) every 4 years, with elections staggered. In this way, the panel is always changing, to meet the fluctuations of the country, but never so quickly as to induce chaos. In the AWP Panel, some seats are given to those of important positions in Killer Zoids. When elected or appointed officials change in Killer Zoids Federal Government, these changes apply directly to AWP.

Capital City:
Capital, 21,300,000 inhabitants
Infrastructure:
Various networks have been introduced in the lands of Killer Zoids, including the DivNet, Tapinta, Internet, T-Com, and U.S.E.R..
All connections are routed to the Office of Central Communication, in UNEX where requests are processed by the hundreds of server farms. This location in the heart of UNEX is often referred to as 'Central.' UNEX stands for Unified Networking EXtension. UNEX is the only part of Killer Zoids to have a high percentage of inorganic life, which work for the system.
The head of routing in UNEX is the Inorganic Nexus, which is A#1 to the super computer U.S.E.R.. Nexus is a machine run by artificials mostly, which operate as one ('Unified'). UNEX is in the heart of Killer Zoids and could be considered the central nervous system of the entire country. UNEX is capable of producing its own power from underground hot springs and does so only in the event of a catastrophic failure of external sources of electricity. Due to the vast size of UNEX, the underground power systems can only produce enough power to maintain the central office, communication lines, and a number of buildings to all sides. If such a catastrophe was to happen, 70% of the city would shut down, but communications for the country would not be affected.
Killer Zoids also boasts a sophisticated interstate system, the T-Var, which is discussed in a separate post.
A rail network exists in KZ which travels nearly the same path as the interstates. Because commuters can travel faster on the road than on the rail, the rail system is mainly used for freight and can travel at high speed as well, thanks to powerful and efficient diesel-electric trains.

OOC Notes:
Roll Play Preferences
I tend to focus on issues much smaller than international relations. My favorite types of threads are those involving individuals from various countries interacting at that level. Exceptions to this involve when large Kazian companies or international companies are involved and news posts which summarize actions occurring on the macro scale. Cooperative interactions or relationship explorations are always a go, as long as the long-term goal of the topic is clear.
Think First-Person-Shooter instead of Real-Time-Strategy type Role-player.
I also have a difficult time managing multiple threads at once and especially busy (more than 2 or 3 contributors) topics, so I avoid those.
Style
My style of RP depends on a mostly stable socio-economic environment of KZ and surrounding areas, so I do not really dig when 'world wars' are occurring or other apocalypic things, unless those things are in a different continuum and are more done for fun. (Such as futuristic topics)
