Geography
The Cal peninsular, the islands of Sae and Inleef are located on the southern cost of the federation towards the east and boasts a massively varied geography.
The islands of Sae, off the west and south cost of the Cal peninsular, are volcanic in origin, with a number of volcanoes still active, and are for the most part rocky, inhospitable places with the little fertile land being heavenly cultivated mostly to provide food for life stock. The surrounding shallow sea has abundant sea life and the islands provide a multitude of natural harborers. The shallow sea, the Saeie Sea is treacherous with a large number of hazards to shipping in the shape of hidden reefs, ever moving sand banks and unpredictable currents and winds. The vast majority of the islands are uninhabited, either having never been suitable for habitation or having been abandoned for an easier life by their population. The largest of the islands, Talcan, is the home of the Saeie capital, of the coastal city Tal, a city of some seven hundred thousand souls. The bulk of the rest of the population is scattered though five smaller coastal cities. A few hundred fishing villages are home to the remaining population, though it must be noted that these are still hemorrhaging population to the larger cities that offer a less tough and isolated life. The climate can be extreme with storms being a regular occurrence and constant swirling winds.
The island of Inleef is off the Cal peninsular east cost and the currents that surround it had for a long time kept is isolated. The island is largely covered in pasture with a small jungle on it's south cost and desert to it's north. It is also home to an active volcano that has provided the island with it's very fertile soils. The climate is, for the most part, mild if a little wet and windy. The population is largely rural with few cities, the capital is the coastal city of Lefe.
The kingdoms cover the southern eighty five percent of the Cal peninsular. The west cost is almost entirely covered by the Calie mountain range.
The Calie range runs the entire length of Cal and is home to a number of still active volcanoes, a large number of dormant volcanoes and innumerable extinct ones. Little of the land is viable for anything except low scale agriculture and the population mostly make a living in the glens out of crofting and sheep farming.
Running across, approximately, the middle of the kingdoms is the Leck mountain range. This range no longer has any active volcanism and, unlike the Calie range, is geologically stable. The largest three baronies as located in this range, with the other six being located in the Calie range. Leck, En Leck and Sou Leck account between them for over two thirds of the baronies population , Leck being by far the most populous.
On the north east of the Leck range sites, what was, the city state of Tel, now the kingdoms capital. The city lyes between the Selon river and the leck mountain range it self and only covers fifty square miles, though it's suburbs stretch out into Sou Leck. The parliamentary complex lyes on the Tel/Sou Leck border and covers almost seventeen square miles.
To the north of the Leck range lyes the massive and featureless Drewn desert that covers almost the whole of Drew. The desert is for the most part inhospitable and uninhabited with few capable, letter alone willing to, live there with the exception of the legendary Drewn desert tribes. This has now changed with the massive wind farms covering large regions of the desert utilising the only abundant resource, the continuous wind. To the north west of drew is it's only usable agriculture land that is heavenly cultivated to produce food for livestock. The vast majority of the population lives in this region in it's many cities.
To the south of the Leck range lyes Teu, the most populus of the kingdoms, with it's large areas of agricultural land and many cities. The territory is soft and warm with a very large amount of rain and many rivers flowing over the plateau that covers the center of the kingdom. The capital Liye Andrac lyes in the center of kingdom on the Andrac river, the longest in the kingdoms..
To the south east of the cal peninsular is the Teerie jungle that covers most of the kingdom of Teer. The Teerie jungle contains may species that are only found there, these include the Teerie them selves who are of a species of skunk that are arboreal in nature are green and white rather than black and white and rarely less than six foot in hight, some being in excess of seven foot. The land it self is very boggy and few creature live on the ground, the vast majority of species are found in the canopy of the jungle along with the Teerie's own cities.
Off the southren coat of the Cal peninsular is the island of Emass with it's mountainous interior. The northern, western and eastern coasts covered in thick jungle, the southren coastal area of is covered by grass covered plains.

History:
Prehistory
10,000(approx) B.C.E: First evidence of habitation
The first evidence of the hunter gather ancestors of modern furs appears, mostly skunk tribes that later evolved into the teerie. Though evidence of many other kinds of furs has been found along with humans.
6,500(approx) B.C.E: The rise of the Minopeans civilisation.
Not much is known of the Minopeans as very little remains of them due to the extreme age of any artefacts that might be found and the nature of the civilisation's end. How advanced they were is widely disagreed upon but they could certainly work with metal and appeared to have a number of large cities which covered all of what is now the commonwealth, there is some evidence that they may have spread even further, but this is disputed.
5,021 B.C.E: The destruction of the Minopeans civilisation.
The now extinct super volcano under what is now modern day K-IX erupted. This was a disaster for the Minopeans and it and the associated tectonic activity wiped the civilisation from the face of the planet and re-shaped the very area. Up until then the sea of sae was a futile delta, flooded due to a massive down shift in the crust. Evidence of the eruption can be found over large parts of the fed and the event seems to have been large enough to have caused temperatures to drop.
It was also at this time that the people who became the teerie skunks took to the trees. This was out of desperation as there home land became a swamp over night and they could not venture north due to the ash fields. The trees also provided them with some protection, oddly the teerie did not ventured down for generations.
The three kingdoms era 4,500 B.C.E: The evidence of the Skunk tribe changing to be identifiable Teerie and recolonization.
Due to the multigenic properties of many of the plants and fungi that the what the teerie skunks had to eat to survive they suffered common and quite extreme mutation. As time went on they had evolved to live in their environment, but this evolution was vastly accelerated by the environment
From the north new peoples came to populate the now highly fertile peninsular and newly formed islands, most in the form of canine tribes but also humans and many other kinds of furs.
2,573 B.C.E The formation of the Teerie kingdom.
The first modern day kingdom was formed when Ta a tribal chief was proclaimed queen of teer at a meeting of the chiefs of the Teerie people and the eight Lords of teer are first mentioned.
2,560 B.C.E The formation of Madicon
Madicon where drew and the north of teu are today, Teer was much bigger than it is today and covered the bottom half of modern day Teu. The Madicon civilisation rose much faster than the teerie, but was always more fractious Many artefacts from this now extinct civilisation are held in many Calie museums, and they were quite advanced.
2,507 B.C.E The formation of the Lords of Saeie council.
Up until 2,507 the Saeie were little more than fisher furs and pirates, but nine warlords became dominant and formed the Saeie council, the oldest unchanged organisation still in existence today.
2,506 B.C.E: The formation of the lucan council.
Originally had members from all three kingdoms but, until recently, only from two as Madicon no longer exists.
2,506-342 B.C.E: The three kingdoms zenith.
Though the lucan council was meant to keep peace it rarely worked and the three kingdoms fought tooth and nail. Though during this period many great works of art and spectacular feats of engineering were created, some of which exist to this day.
This was also when the deforestation of drew occurred as the Madicon cut the forests that once grew there for wood and turned it into farmland. Over grassing and the removal of trees to hold the soil in place caused the drewn desert to slowly grow.
The Great Disruption (The Red Death) And The Reformation
337-342 B.C.E: The Great Disruption (The Red Death)
The reason for Cals lack of diversity in species and utter lack of humans stem back to the same event that destroyed the Madicon civilisation. A plague broke out in Teer that killed almost half it's population and seemed highly virulent to green furs, but soon jumped to the vulpine and lupine populations of neighbouring kingdoms. Was only a taste of what was to come.
A more virulent and all pervasive form of the plague appeared amongst the human population and started spreading like wild fire. It became apparent that those who had contracted the weaker form of red death had some immunity to the new more deadly strain. That said all the races suffer high death rates.
The first race to become extinct in Cal were the humans who had almost all fled to the isle of Athed, modern day inleef, in an attempt to escape the plague. A strain broke out there that was so virulent and deadly that islands entire population died in the period of less than four months.
So sudden was the onset and speed of the plague everywhere that there is a layer in Calie archaeology referred to as the bone fields as the peoples were overwhelm and did not have time to do anything about their dead, leaving them to rot where they fell.
Madicon with it's far more diverse population clasped as people fled and more and more races became extinct in the area. So sudden was the claps of the Madicon civilisation that many buildings were left incomplete. How ever both Teer and Sae kingdoms managed to hang on, but both suffered terribly.
For some hundred year the peoples that remained carried a dormant vairent of the virus. It was air born and the races on and near the peninsular came to the conclusion that it was outsiders that carried it as they died first. Xenophobic became the norm, in the form of genie fear of the different....fear.
124 A.C.E The formation of Teu.
What remained of the vulpine population in what is now Teu, had rebuilt. Queen Lec Aranio qn, a tribal leader united Teu and for a time Drew by force. Her Lec tribe became dominant and forced the other eight tribes Teuie and the then three drewn into submission.
225-400(approx) A.C.E The arrival of the desert tribes.
From the north a band of nomadic desert dwellers started to migrate down into drew, forcing back the Teuie that had tried to colonise the area. Most argue that the Teuie did not put up much of a fight as the desert was worth little, but soon through various marriages and deals the desert tribes accepted Teuie rule.
500-550 (approx) A.C.E The Drewn Wars of independence. In approximately 500 A.C.E the Ali a northern desert tribe rebel against Teuie rule, under their leader Esilaw an. He fought them far south, but was sold out by his own kind. Teuie had him skinned alive for treason. It started the rebellion lead by Ti Rucbe an, one of senior tribal chiefs, a leader, where Esilaw was not, he and the drewn, in the end drove out the Teuie.
500-650(approx) A.C.E Inleef's Creation
At some point a group of felines, the leefens, landed on the island of the isle of Athed, now inleef. Their origin is to this day unknown, they burnt all evidence but they kept their religion and language. They seemed to fear being found. The Leefen's hid for centuries as no one near wanted the island that was, in their eyes, plague ridden.
Though evidence of the leefens only appears when the Sae attempted to land on the island and then reported black evil spirits, from the ship that returned. As no Sae had seen a feline in centuries the description described a leefen. They seemed to have an in built hatred of lupine.

Formation Era
745 A.C.E The Discovery Of Emass.
Their had for many centuries rumours of an island to the south of Cal, but never any evidence. How ever in 745 the teerie set out to find it and one of their ships did, the Toln. They found the island largely unpopulated with only a few proto-raptors in the forests, as they had never seen one before they quickly started to force them back to the mountains where they still live today.
Teer soon set up a colony and the displaced population from the north of their nation made eager new residents.
775-860 (approx) A.C.E The Second Wave Over this period a number of other races arrived on emass, first to start arriving were three raptorian tribes from miokalia, these tribes were far more aggressive than the original inhabitants and showed definite intelligence. The teer agreed a treaty with them, that the ground in the forest was theirs, but the trees belonged to the teerie.
Later a group of rebel lords from teu fleeing the teuie queen they had tried to depose landed in the south of the island and being in no fit state to fight the teerie signed a peace treaty. Also in this period the first reports of dragons start appearing, this confirms the draconian view of when they flew in.
953 A.C.E The First Hybe Is Describe.
The first mention of a hybe is found in the teerie cornices, the teuie and teerie on emass interbred far more than their mainland compatriots as teer and teu were at, pretty much at perpetual war along with the rest of the mainland. So the gene had got passed to the vulpines far faster, but not long after reports of hybes start to appear in teu and teer.
1005-1217 A.C.E The Grand War.
For a period of in excess of two centuries the two ancient kingdom fought as did Drew and Teu, unlike the previous wars that were short and not terribly bloody the Grand War was bloody in the extreme. No one is entirely sure what caused it but by the end of it all four kingdoms were near braking point. It was also the first war that Teu and Teer fought on the same side in and Drew and Sae fought together the axis's that were formed in that war endured right up to living memory.
1217 A.C.E The Emassen Teerie Brake Away And The Democracy Comes To Teer.
The war had critically weakened teer and it's people were tiered of their leadership. On Eamss the Teerie had been taxed to the hilt and their young were conscripted into the army to fight on the main land. Teer had no fight left to prevent the Emassen Teerie from declaring independence and they quickly removed their pro mainland lords from power and set up a parliament, but not a republic as that was a step too far for them.
Seeing what had happened on emass, the popular discontent that was visible on the streets and the increase in republicism queen Er XXIII called a lords council. This council agreed the formation of an elected parliament in main land Teer.
Initially both teerie nations only allowed suffrage to females over twenty five but over the following years extended it to all females over thirteen. It would be some time before males got the vote as they were regarded as too aggressive and compulsive to be given the vote.
1218 A.C.E The Baronies Brake Away.
The Baronies had been controlled by the other powers, but with the other powers weakened the barons that governed them ceased the opportunity. The first to brake away, with the help of Inleef, was Leck, that at the time covered both ne-leck and so-leck along with leck. Neither the Drewn or Teuie could fight off the mountain lupines who soon took the territory. The Saeie controlled the Calie mountain range soon went into rebellion and with the help and encouragement of the Lecken and support of the other three powers along with Inleef soon broke.

1300 A.C.E The Establishment Of The Teuie On Emass.
After an unsuccessful grab for the crown in teu two of the senior lords that had lead it fled to Teer with their followers. It is widely believed that the Teerie had been behind the plot, but under threat of invasion from Teu they struck a deal with the lords.
Rather than stay in Teer as this would be an invitation for Teu to attack the lords were given some land in the south of emass that the teerie government still controlled.
1301 A.C.E The First Reports Of Dragonians.
Though the Dragonians appear to have lived on emass far before this date, no one had seen them as they lived high in the mountains. Unlike the Teerie who stayed out of the mountains and the raptorians who were still far to superstitious to enter the mountains. Ironically this was due to the fact the natives who they had displaced lived there and the raptorians attributed strange powers to them. The Teuie sent a group to the mountains to investigate just how far their land went and first documented the dragonian.
1347 A.C.E The Alban Protectorate
For some time the northern baronies, with Drewn and Saeie backing, had attempted to take control of the mountains of Alba. However under the rule of king Alex III they sent delegations to Teu and Teer to try and get support. The Teerie and Teuie saw the chance to encircle the other two kingdoms. Both gave their protection to Alba. The Saeie and Drewns were more than a little surprised when the baronies forces came up against both Teuie and Teerie forces in the north. Both reliezed the danger to them that the other two kingdoms having a power base in the north presented.
King Alex III met with delegations from Sae and Drew and made a proposal, that was accepted. So on the last day of 1347 the Alban concord was signed by all four of the monarchs of the Kingdoms and King Alex III. It effectively gave alba the protection of all four kingdoms against attack from anyone and also prohibited alba from attacking or allowing their territory to be used to attack any of the kingdoms.
