The good news is that all the invaders were removed promptly by Shikeishuu. THe bad news is that to avoid retaliation for foiling their chest pounding session, Shikeishuu has password locked the region. We're going to try this new method for a while to let new recruits in. Below I'll paste in the post from S. for record and reference. Basically, if you are contact by a potential new nation, check them out first and make sure they're not a bouncer (aka someone who has just move through 10 regions in the last few hours/days) or an invader (coming from or through several regions from an invader region). But, I'd also suggest you talk with me about any new nations as well, just to be sure. Otherwise use your best judgement. Also, if you know this person in real life, then all the better and easier to verify they aren't a plant.

In response to a recent attempted invasion of our Federation by rogue elements seeking to exploit loopholes in the OOC function of NationStates.net, enrolment into our region has been locked down.
From now on any nation who wishes to join our Federation must first seek nomination from at least two established, existing member nations in good standing. The two existing members must each send a telegram to the founding nation or (to be announced) one of the designated admin nations asking that the new member be let in.
[Note]: Member nations are cautioned to exercise discretion when vouching for a new member. The new member's actions will reflect upon those who nominated them.
This strengthening of our regional defenses is necessary to further prevent the OOC hijacking of our UN Delegate position by those who have neither interest in nor care about our region's rich tradition of text-based role-play amongst the nations we have created (http://furfed.proboards36.com/index.cgi).
We will continue to welcome those who share our interests and who wish to enjoy the RP environment our region has to offer. Those who want nothing more than to trash a region to use their UN Delegate position as a pawn are not welcome here.
[Reminder]: regional security is every existing member's responsibility. Invite good friends and people those who you trust know and can vouch for. If anyone you *don't* know asks for your support just say "no!"
