[[OOC: This thread deals with an important corporate merger in Killer Zoids. Invite or request only please]]
Background-- Killer Zoids government is by design two pieces; the bureaucratic portion, in which citizens partake in elections, votes, and decision making. The other portion involves the socialist aspect of the country; the massive and important corporations. The controlling corporation is an extension of government in industry called, AWood Powers, or AWP. AWP exists as a meta-corporation, which influences all other major industries in KZ which come to be placed under the jurisdiction and control of the government.
These companies include Duco Mectronics, Arlan-Tarker, Kuzoco, MedSouth, MedWest, Tapinta, T-Var Unlimited, Vertical Energy, and VFI. These companies provide services to KZ such as energy, medical, communications, and military equipment.
A newer company which has recently come under the jurisdiction of AWP after having expanded into foreign markets and turning record profits is Kazian Dynamic. KD is a massive contract-based R&D firm. Until recently, it was outside of the AWP umbrella, so it operated as any other corporation in Killer Zoids. Other AWP companies contracted KD quite often for research and development on new technologies and products, but after record profits were turned and questionable business practices were uncovered, the government decided it was time to step in.
AWP control of subsidiary companies involves acquisition and full-ownership, and a sharing or absorption of board members within departments of AWP.
AWP's CEO is Notiona Spiel. The president of AWP is also the president of Killer Zoids, Arabarath Gorh. Excluding CEO, AWP's executive board contains elected and appointed officials of the federal government.
Kazian Dynamic's president and CEO is Marcrow Dartron.

"This doesn't make any sense..."
It was late, probably around midnight. Notiona was in her corner office on the 12th floor, which overlooked Capital City. It was a clear night, you could see clear across the city from her vantage point, but she wasn't interested in taking in the sights. Instead the wolf was pouring over a mountain of paperwork, dotting every i and crossing every t.
Her hair was messy, but still in a bun held together with a couple of pencils. She had an empty mug of coffee and her long skirt was partially unzipped up from the bottom. She had met with some foreign business furs earlier that day discussing new avenues for trade and commerce between Killer Zoids and some new nations, and was still dressed for it. Being overly busy with work, she never had a chance to change.
The stacks of papers she was reviewing came from financial reports and merger information of the recently acquired Kazian Dynamic.
She called her assistant's phone and left a message before she headed for home. "Julia, I need to speak with Marcrow as soon as possible. Get me on a plane to GS Berg. I dont care if its the red-eye."
She packed a number of important documents in a briefcase and shut her desk light off.
She looked out over the city lights for a moment and said quietly to herself, "What are they doing to you?"
Leaving the building, she said good night to the security guard on in the lobby, got in her car, and drove home.

The next morning Notiona got up and checked her email. It was 6:00am. She had an e-ticket waiting for her, and a message that the airport shuttle would be there to pick her up in about an hour and a half.
"That's Julia.. efficient as always.."
Notiona packed an overnight bag for her trip to GS Berg, and at 7:30 sharp, a horn honked in her driveway. She looked out and it was the airport shuttle.

At the GS International Airport, she found her chauffeur. His hat had the Kazian Dynamic logo and he was holding a sign with her name.
They drove to the KD headquarters. It was a large deconstructionist office building, with odd shaped roofs and slanting walls. The executive suite was at the very top in a circular shape with dark windows. Notiona waited in the lobby.
"Hello Ms Spiel, Marcrow is on a conference call at the moment, I will let him know you've arrived," said the receptionist.
The lobby had large projections on the first floor walls depicting people and various KD products and research. The interior of the building was massive, each floor opened up to the central atrium which had a pendulum swinging slowly above a metal corporate art statue of the planet encircled by satellites, inside a fountain surrounded by large leafed plants.

"Eighteenth floor, Ms. Spiel." The receptionist indicated that Marcrow was out of his meeting. "Oh you'll need this.." She handed Notiona a visitor IDProx card so she could exit the elevator on that floor.
Notiona took to the elevator and pressed the button for the 18th floor, and scanned the ID card. The elevator made its way up to the top floor of the building's east wing. The doors opened and she was in a vestibule met by a security guard. She waved the card and walked past the checkpoint, and through double oak doors.
The office was massive. Cabinets of photographs and awards, prototype products and gadgets. The ceiling was all glass, which turned down to become the windows overlooking the rear of the building where a golf course and lake were. Marcrow Dartron (CEO) was sitting at his desk, with the chair back facing Notiona.
"Notiona Spiel. To what do I owe this unexpected visit by AWood Powers? Personally checking up on how the 'transition' is going?" Marcrow turned in his chair and stood up. He was a silver fox, immaculately dressed, his hair slicked back and his whiskers trimmed perfectly. He was holding a half-glass of scotch on the rocks. The bottle was open, on a cart near the window, with a pail of ice and another glass.
"Spare me, Dartron. You know why I'm here."
"Oh I really don't think I do. AWP has been sending sooo many people here recently, it's just so difficult to keep track of.." he spoke very aloofly.
"Like the 80 billion creds missing from Kazian Dynamic's books?"
He set his glass down on the table and approached Notiona. "Kazian Dynamic is a multinational corporation operating in nearly 20 countries with three times as many contracts." He walked around slowly behind her while speaking, and gently ran her hair through his fingertips, and took a light sniff of her hair. "I'm sure if you look more closely, Kazian Dynamic's books are quite perfectly balanced."
"Excuse me..." She spun around, as the larger fox looked down at her, across his nose. "I've been over every last one of your subsidiaries--"
"--And every one is precisely accounted for," Marcrow interjected.
Notiona was becoming frustrated, but keeping her calm. "Whether you like it or not, Kazian Dynamic is now a subsidiary of AWP--"
"In the process of becoming, yes."
She turned and walked back to the door. Marcrow held his arms out, "GS Berg is a lovely city, you're welcome to stay at my personal penthouse in downtown."
Notiona rolled her eyes and opened the large doors, leaving. Marcrow picked up a receiver and dialed a number on the phone.

"I'll never get any answers from him. But I can't fire him, not yet anyway. Damn it," she thought to herself. She got off the elevator at the 5th floor and went for a stroll. After passing a few doors, she read the plaque on one "JUNCT5 - NETWK". She pulled out a silver mini disc and her visitor pass. She tried her card swipe to see if the door would open, to no avail. So she looked up and down the empty hallway. Seeing the coast was clear, she snapped the card to put it in a right angle and shoved it in the door frame, giving herself access. Quietly she slid in. "Well, that's the first thing we're doing... Switching these rooms to magnetic locks..." The room was full of the entire floor's network hardware; switches, servers, and miles upon miles of cables draped across in bundles. The light switch was a keyed style, so the only light she had was the million or so blinken lichten. Walking through the cramped space was like pushing oneself through dense jungle. She found a pull out terminal in one of the racks and inserted her mini disk [1] [2]. The screen flickered screens on and off a bit as it worked its way into the KD network, and after about a minute of this, she finally had access to the cloud. She started searching through KD's contracts and financial files, and skimming through ledgers. "What's with all these foreign contracts... They practically out number the domestic ones..."
