Rapier Flight, 30,000 feet over Holmbergsvania "Rapier Lead sir, the aircraft has changed course" "Indeed, I noticed, it's up to the ground defenses now..." Holmbergsvanian Defense Sector: Cinigrad "Sir!" A wolf in Holmbergsvanian Air Force garb ran to his commanding officer. "F-22s from Port Penguin engaged a spy aircraft over us-" "Do I have authorization?" "You do, they had authorization directly from Koenig" "Launch the Patriots at once" Outside, Patriot missile launchers received data from both Holmbergsvanian radar instillations, and Rapier Flight, and raised into launch position. The sound of the resulting launch was deafening as the missiles streaked into the sky in hot pursuit of their target.

The angle picking up the launch changed course to put outside the range of the missiles and accelerated . The commonwealth were getting more intel than they had expected. It quickly passed match seven going straight up, any attempt at being stealthy was gone.
The back seater was logging the capabilities of the Holmbergsvanian defences, this was gold. The angle II air breathing engines were limited as to how high they could go as were it's avionics but it's momentum could take it out of the stratosphere. The pilot was not planning on using that move as it would give away what it could do, she figured that a match seven vertical climb would run the missiles out of fuel before they even got close..the back seater was wondering it the missiles could do that speed.

"Ah, there they are! Right on time!"
A gaggle of very oddly dressed Ryvuuli were brought aboard, carrying several boxes and crates of what could perhaps have been clothing, were it not for the ridiculous colorings and decorations all over them. One immediately set to work on powdering Valsquez's ears, followed by the rubbing in of an odd lotion.
"Like I said, the color is magnificen-Oh love, don't forget, he's supposed to have a light splotch over the left eye, and blue teardrops under the right...anyway, magnificent!"

Project Mordred Control Bunker Tannesburough, Holmbergsvania "Sir, we've got a contact on radar, multiple pings on a hostile aircraft- believed to be a spy plane" "Spy plane? Here?" "Enemy Aircraft, sir" "Is the laser primed?" "Yessir" "Let's give our little project a live-fire test... Power input?" "Stable" "Targeting data?" "Locked" "Chemicals?" "Feeding" "Green light set, doctor" "FIRE!" Outside, the massive tower blinked, a blue laser emitting from the apex and shooting off into the sky towards the area where the Cali aircraft was. "Let's hope this works..."

The angel II was caught totally by surprise by the laser, at the velocity it was travailing it broke up millions of tiny pieces when it hit. But one part, as designed, remained together long enough to send a final data burst. It contained the last of the data it had received, up to a few moments after the craft had been hit, including a shot from one of the craft's rear sensors.
Like all sensible nations none of the commonwealth's spy plane parts helf any markings that could be directly traced home. The pilots didn't even ware dog ties or any other form of identity What as left of the craft and it's pilots would be scattered over hundreds of miles, little of any size would reach the ground.
The RAF's reconnaissance wing would be recording another couple of it's people had died in a boating accident, lost at sea. The local police would have records of the incident.
How ever the recon received told them much of the Holmbergsvanian capabilities and the next 'geo-activity' satellite would be paying allot of attention to the facility where the beam had come from.
