I've been thinking about populations of late. NS's system of boosting your pop with every issue you decide is kind of silly once you pass the 100 mil mark. As a nation with a whole lot more than that, I can say that its quite silly to use these numbers in an in character capacity. As such, I'm asking everyone who origionally listed their NS pops as their pouplations here to consider switching to something more reasonable, especially those with billions listed on NS.
As for Tinis, I'm thinking of something in the 1-200 million range. Probably closer to 100 mil. 25 million immigrated from the old country, 50 million born since then, and 25 million immigrated from elsewhere.
Anyone else got suggestions?

Yeah, after a certain point, the growth does seem to get excessive. As of now, I'm modifying my profile to a more realistic population of 45 million (though considering the area of my nation, it may be reduced even further (actually, that gives me an idea...)).

A lot depends on the technology of your country as to how many furs it can support. Ciata has rather limited use of technology, though by choice, and without huge cities, tons of hospitals, and the like, the life expectancy isn't as high as in other countries, though many do live to a grey old age because of their diet and lack of polution and such.

We've got exelant medical facilities, and dont pomote as much unhealthy food. (some of it is really citizens that have signed up for a me-to-meals program. gota read those lables at the deli) and, rather then build out, greenbelt laws have made us build up, and resulted in city-towers. quite impresive really. And a graet place to visit!

Our people enjoy a long life, decent health, but mediocre economics. Because the bulk of the population resides in reletively urban areas, the birth rate is very low. Marriage is more common among the more established, older population. And new health studies have concluded that the pollution generated in the cities by the various different technologies imported from the different species have resulted in a sharp reduction in fertility, although the air quality remains fair (for an urban area). The growth rate of Miokalia has been mostly due to immigration, rather than birthrate and is basically stagnant.
Like GBWT, Miokalia has rigid greenbelt civil planning practices. Because of low energy costs and taxing systems, building up is a preferred method of development in most areas. Leaving the natural areas worth preserving pristine (although there isn't much nature to preserve in many places here)
