The humid jungles of Aluez weren't treating Bradley Foxx very well. The young Arctic Fox, being an arctic, had a thicker coat than most, and while he could bear the heat around here, it was the humidity that got to him. Wearing the robes of their flag certainly didn't help, being lightweight in comparison to most regal uniforms, but still making the white-furred tod somewhat warm out in this weather. He sighed and stood in a rather open part of the jungle (as open as jungles ever got), waiting for the officials of the country that had the decency to allow Brad and his rather large band of refugees and nomads to finally settle down in a place of their own...Almost. He was hoping that these negotiations would go peacefully and without a hitch, as he honestly wished to trust these people...But then again, they had trusted many people in the past, which caused them to end up where they were now...
Brad's sister, by comparison, was far more comfortable in this heat, having worked hard in it for a long while. Unlike hir political-minded brother, Brenda was a warrior, born and bred. The Red Fox's jungle fatigues stuck tight to a lean and well-toned body that had been forged through the heat of battle to what it was now, the modified AK-47 clasped in hir paws with an almost-relaxed, professional manner. Shi wore body armor, as did Brad and the four other members hidden away in the dense foilage of the jungle, just in case things went bad. Brenda turned to hir brother, seeing his fur somewhat matted with sweat as shi shook hir head a little, gently berating him, "Honestly, Brad, sometimes I worry about you. You are a wise leader and all, but this? We've been waiting half an hour for these guys to show up, and we're not even guaranteed that they won't just try to kill us like the last few times we tried something like this." The sweaty Arctic shrugged his shoulders, still looking out into the jungle and not turning to his sister,
"If we do not give these people a benefit of a doubt, then how exactly will that look to them? It's hard to trust those you don't know, yes, but if we do not try to trust them, how will they ever grow to trust us?" He smiled warmly before turning to Brenda, winking to the armed Red, "Besides, what's there to worry about? I feel safe with you and your team..." Brenda snorted softly and smiled back to hir slightly smaller brother. Like the young Tod needed hir help. Shi knew of the array of dangerous daggers beneath those robes and sleeves, which could be flung with deadly accuracy into anything that he did not like. Brad prayed to whatever gods were listening that he wouldn't need them today, and he hoped further that their new allies would not mind the weaponry as a precaution. Brad had hoped for a lot of things in the past, and now, more than ever before, he hoped once again that things would go well.
