"I would doubt it would cause too many problems. Afterall, there are proper protocols for visits and tourism...unless you mean they would just swarm over the boarder like a bunch of zealots, then yes, there would be a problem. The border guards are trigger-happy enough as it is..but, yes yes, you should probably call them and let them know, and a proper look is best if done by small numbers, but I can still arrange for you two to see it first, if you wish."

Xine jumped forward "Yes, if you could!" she exclaimed.
Lady Drancan sighed, may as well see what she is so exited about.
Lady Drancan said "If it is that important I don't know how the leefin would behave, but the sisterhood would probably try and keep them in hand. But I suppose a visit might be interesting and if nothing else would calm this one down." indicating Xine.
"I'll give my government a call and see if they can get a message to the supreme high priestess of the sisterhood, she will probably be in contact shortly after. But I know her she has a good head on her shoulders, should she send anyone it will be one of the more sceptical priestesses."
Lady Drancan was a more than a little concerned Xine was a trained diplomat and she was behaving like a kid, she shuddered to think what the rest of the leefin's would be like. She said under her breath in her own tong "One of the few things organised religion is good for"

"Well, whenever you wish, we can have a heli fueled and ready in under an hour. If you insist on leaving now, I can have Ulrik take you there while I entertain my other guests."

Lady Drancan smiled "I am no no great hurry, and it is not my place to order you around. But if you happen to know an expert on the sight it might be of use."
Lady Drancan sighed "I am no of Xine's peoples believe so am fairly in the dark my self as to why this place is causing her to behave the way she is."
Lady Drancan looked at Xine who was very excited and whispered "Something is getting into her I have never seen her like this. Please no guards of ours, I will trust yours.
The only kiind I would trust from the commonwealth would be a teerie, but there are none of those here."

"Nearing as late as it is, I should probably send you off to the library then, with Ulrik. The head librarian is a self-proclaimed expert on that time period of our history, I'll have a guard contact you when the heli is fueled."
The governor smiled and stood up, offering his hand to Lady Drancan as Ulrik, the grey vulpine Arbitor, came back in, flanked by several human and Ai'lupan guards.
"When you get there, ask for Veric."

Lady Drancan was showing every sign of being rather bore with Xine.
She gave a weak smile "Thank you, do they have many books?"
Xine looked keen, like she was very awake "How many?"
Lady Drancan was clearly looking to have a sleep so was quietly indicating the more the better.
Lady Drancan smiled "Perhaps we should let Xine look into these books first? It might save us both time and effort?"
Lady Drancan was desperately hoping that someone picked up her hints.
If Xine was given enough books she could get her head down for an hour or two, hopefully more.

"Well, there are many libraries, I don't know how many are on the subject you wish for, however, so I wish you the best of luck!"
The grey vulpine from earlier, Ulrik, was standing by the door, grimacing as he waited for the envoys from Cal.
"It is right this way."
Once more it is a trip through labyrinthine hallways, with the inclinations confusing even how far down or above the ground the hallways are, until he led them to a door that appeared to lead to a small cellar, pointing out along the way the extravagent doors leading to 'the guest halls.'
"They're all empty. No royal family..clean though, and kept up. Just pick one, really."
What appeared to be a small cellar was actually an expansive chamber filled with dust and scrolls. Wall to wall with books, papers, tax and census documents, and several other notable items. It was coated with a fine layer of dust.
The head librarian, a stuffy old codger of a lynx, in musty old robes, with spectacles atop his nose, was sifting through several scrolls with runes on them with a magnifying glass. He was mumbling something to himself while he read, taking notes every once in a while with a quill at the bottom of the paper. He seemed to have an even thicker layer of dust about him, almost as old as the place itself, and didn't look up when the two entered.

Lady Drancan looked about her, they had places like this in Sae, but they sure didn't have this much dust. The conservators would have a fit if they saw this place, she mused. She was how ever already looking about for a quiet corner to get her head down for a little.
Xine on the other hand was sizing up the aged lynx, the leefin were known to not trust or like other felines, but this one might have information about her people's origin. Lady Drancan was keeping an eye on her.
Xine cleared her through in a somewhat theatrical manner. Her ice blue eyes fixed on the lynx, she was trying not too look disdainful but it was clear if this person did have the information she was after, she did not think them worthy of it. This was going to be interesting.
The leefin were a very proud people, xine would have to take the help of the lynx.

The lynx half-jumped out of his seat, a cloud of dust flying into the air as his scrolls almost fell off the table.
He snarled a bit, then looked up at Xine. He grew angry at her appearance, looking up and down, grimacing. He goes back to his scrolls, muttering.
"Gshovo Ihennenk kovnin Seefine Raktna! Ihe koukipro fauzchu oyda!"
He rolled up his scrolls and put away his quill, staring at Xine. The next bit he muttered in a drawling German.
"What do you want Ai'lupan."

Xine Glared at the lynx, her tail whipped she snarled "I not an Ai'lupan, I am a Leefin."
Lady Drancan stepped in "I apologizes for her behaviour..."
Xine had calmed down and said still annoyed "I wish to know what I can of the origins of my people."

"Ah. You are the foreigners then.....Leefin? Leefin....Le'ofan? Is this what..."
He looks down a moment, thinking.
"Your old people are dead. Whatever remains of the Le'ofan is gone. What remains would be the Leefin, as you call them."
He gets up, shaking a little as he hobbles over to one of the many bookcases, pulling a scroll off of a high shelf.
"I do not know much. The Seefine Raktna are very good at destroying information they do not want known..."
He blows off the dust from the scroll, bringing it back to the desk, unfurling it, revealing more of the runes.
"Most of what remains is in the textglyphs of the Ryvuuli and of the Le'ofan...and the Ai'lupans hold the Le'ofani scrolls."
He takes a magnifying glass, peering at the scroll.
"Most of what I can tell you concerns a great war. The Ryvuuli called it the Rise of the Son of Sifus. A warlord that had risen from the great tribes....Before the coming of Man and the rise of Ryvuul, there were seven great tribes, each of a different species and each holding different parts of what is now known as Aatuylva.
"The Ui'suenth ruled the north, living in the mountains...we suspect they were the ancestors of the grey fox population there...the W'eacha, who still live on, in Chromi...grey wolves. Very militaristic lot...let's see...'and the seven tribes did gather..' no..no...Dr'obawarga..ah yes. These were the First Wolves...so they called themselves...
"Ah. Here we are. The three feline tribes...E'loough'erai, who held the west, panthers, Ll'utor of the south, my ancestors, and Le'ofan, the queendom of the east. I'm afraid not much information remains about them, save from what this scroll says, that they were architectural geniuses for their time, though a bit, rash.
"..I can, however, tell you the name of the tribe that started the war...Ai'lupitas Revhwoin. In Ai'lupan it means 'Kings of Wolves'. In modern Aatuylvan it is 'Wolf Daemons'. They came from the deep jungle, where none of the other tribes would go, not even the 'First Wolves'..."

Xine showed her teeth "I know of the Ai'lupan, I am a leefin! The one of the trides that stood, betrayed by the others and were never enslaved!"
Her tail whipped.
"Do you one of the coward people that sold us out think you will hold from our birth right from us."
She looked the lynx straight in the eye "Leefin, you know our name." she said coldly. Her cold ice blue eyes looked into him with cold rage.
"Where is our birth right? Where! You know our name, you hide it, but you know it. Now tell us!" Xine ended her eyes fixed on the lynxs
"Now!"

The lynx looked at her, his face twisting to one of disgust.
"You foreigners are all the same. I told you that information was lost. And what is this? Hm? I have one scroll. One. In Ryvuuli, which uses an entirely different alphabet, making it hard to pronounce things clearly. One scroll out of thousands and the Le'ofan only have one mention. If what you speak is true, then you already know far more about what happened to them than I do. Now, if you insist on making a scene inside the Imperial Palace I can gladly have the Royal Guard arrest you. Or, if you wish..."
He pulls from his robes an odd key. He fiddles with it, pulling it from around his neck, then turns it towards Xine. There was a hole where the end of it should be.
A concealed shot pistol.
"I could simply end this using the convenient Ai'lupan laws concerning duels."
He pulls back on a small 'ornamental' horn on the key, and there is an audible clicking sound.
"Since you seem to know more about the 'Leefin' than I, perhaps your search for knowledge would be better spent in Arvor. The Ai'lupans are the only ones who know, now. The rest died in the war. This scroll itself is a treasure, found clutched in the hands of a Ryvuuli Maji, one of their princes, in a tomb near there. I lost many friends in retrieving it."
He places the key-gun contraption on the table, staring back at Xine with eyes that have seen war and desolation, eyes that are far unbecoming of this dusty old library.
"Now, if perhaps you wish to ask of me what rumors I know, or of any friends I have who collect..obscure things concerning the Le'ofan, then I suggest you calm down."
"Make your choice."

Xine did not back down "I if you knew anything of leefin culture you would know the production of a bow or other furs by your side was dishonourable. A duel is fur to fur blade to blade, claw to claw, teeth to teeth, no such weapons that can be used from afar. Those are for cowards."
Lady Drancan was moving to try and separate the two.
Xine looked at the lynx "But I will tell you what I know as I need to know what you do. I know those concored are far more likely to tell the truth than those that Concored.
So we make peace and tell each other out side of canine ears what we know."
Lady Drancan looked as xine...OK this was a feline thing.
She had not signed on for this..she whispered to the guards "Is there anywhere I can get a drink round here?"

"Ha. The Ai'lupans once thought that. If you haven't noticed, it's the Accallians who run Aatuylva, not the Ai'lupans..but yes. No need to bloody up this place anymore than it is."
He stood up, taking the shot pistol, uncocking it and putting it back around his neck.
"Come. To the vault."

"Hard stuff or civil drinks ma'am? There are several local pubs further out, and all the guest rooms have bars, but it's mostly wine."
