Cecil seemed to chuckle after Zuva' had explained the Captain's words in Tinisian. "The Secretary is apparently no good at video games and is sure he wouldn't get anywhere more advanced that what he's seen back home." A little further down towards the mess. "We were offered a couple different eating venues. I hope we are not strange by taking up food with your people? The Secretary was in the army a long time ago and was curious how such an experience might be universal or not."

Leck nodded he had pushed it a little but now knew where they stood he turned and asked "That is a little of a cumbersome device, I think the people back home can make you a smaller in ear device that will do the same job without the need for it to have a base. Would that be of interest?"
"As for accommodation I am willing to share mine with my secretary, it makes things easier." Leck said as his small sectary walked beside him.
She placed her tail on his back and they shared a look. It was very clear that they had more than a professional relationship.

It may be a little large, but it it top of the line. As for sharing a room, I am fine with that. When we get up to the deck, you can take any available room and your group can share as they see fit."

Leck and the rest of his team were figuring out a few things, there seemed to be a not invented here mentality, never a good thing for trade as by calie standards the hearing device was certainly not top of the line. It's size alone belied that. These people had intergalactic travel but there consumer electronics (well in the case of the commonwealth largely optics) were not that good. The fact he had not even been asked if he had a mate lead him to believe these people were somewhat liberal in that way..he was happy for that.
"Thank you I am unsure how your people function but neither my self or my sectary have an official mate. Should you have concerns." Leck said very quietly.
The biggest joke was that those two were possibly the only two that really cared in the commonwealth, his own people didn't mind and though it was cute he had found someone like him.

The Secretary was in the army a long time ago and was curious how such an experience might be universal or not." Captain Caleb Talamo"Oh it's not strange at all. Other than clothing, you all blend in well. The AGF soldiers are easiest to point out since they all wear relatively similar armor. Only change is the upper arm color. I don't know what they mean though. "Oh sorry, I forgot you aren't us. AGF is basically our army, but outfitted for our space age. The ASF, my branch, is like the navy. "Unlike a lot of nations, all of our branches eat together. So, there is of course joking around about that. There is always a rivalry between the army and navy." When we walked by the door of the mess hall, it opened automatically. There are only a few hundred soldiers in here now, but this is designed to hold about 1,000 people at a time. "Anyway, the line for food is in the back. I don't even know what we are having. I don't concern myself with that."

General IXThat caught me off guard. "Uh... okay? To me, that's none of my concern or business." We headed into the VIP deck. I addressed everyone and said, "Just pick your rooms. If you want to head off the deck, talk to one of the four soldiers at the end of the hall. Any questions?"

"Thank you very much for your guidance, captain. Unless you wish to join us, we will bid our leave," said Zuva'.
Cecil said something quickly to Zuva'. Zuva translated it as, "Will we be seeing you in the meeting tomorrow or again before we leave?"

"Pardon my asking, Major Rio", said Plumaas, "But I've got to ask, regarding your journey, what kind of system and method did you use to span the couple million lightyears between Andromeda and here? Was this a space-folding methodology, or perceptual space-folding, rather. Was it based on momentum, or is it relativistic?"

Major Luca Rio
"To be honest, I may captain my own warship, but I have no idea how the engines work. I never really cared to learn. The General might be able to tell you, but I cannot. However, on this colony ship, it was a simple engine. And it took us fifty years to get here, so it must not have been all that fast. Our new engine prototypes are cutting it down to... actually, that is classified information."

Colonel Nakhi Welhan"I agree. This looks good. Been awhile since I have had real food. All our stuff is replicated. "What is something you'd like to talk about?" Nova-voice : '' I would like to introduce 3 small points. The first thing we usually ask to New Outsider Nations ; The recognition of our people as an independent nation. Second, a possible trade agreement ; If you want or need resources like fresh food or metals, we could start a trade route. Finally, a program to exchange technologies ; We might have both technologies that would be interesting for the other, so we would need a list of technologies we would be agree to exchange.'' '' The last one is of course dependent of our good will and how well the relationship between our nations will be.''

I see no reason not to. I find your people very intesteresting and I am sure the General will as well. As for the second, we are set for right now, but it might be possible in the future. The technology trading though may be a little... one sided. However that does depend on what you have to offer."

Duke Leck asked queitly "I haven't seen any of your media...Are they the kind to report personal relationships of unweb people?"
The others smirked at the question, the tabloids had reported his relationship with his secutary so much that they had now lost intrest. The duke never read the gossip sections of the broadsheets he read, let alone looking at a tabloid. Him and his secutary had been front page news for about a week before the intrest waned.
His secutary was the same.
