The opening salvo of the federation came slightly earlier than planned. The fleet had almost formed an effective crescent around the Morskoj coast when the Morskoj subs tried to make their break. The active sonar of the fleet, not afraid of being out numbered, picked them up as they moved towards the northern gap between the coast and the fleet. Their obvious goal was to use the small ice bergs in the region to avoid being hit by fast surface vessels with depth charges. They didn't seem to concerned with subs from the federation forces as their own sonar seemed to not be picking up much beyond the surface vessels.
At least that's how it looked when they were just out of port.
After the federation ships had determined the course of the enemy orders were passed about. A few minutes after that, the A-5 Tinisian subs disembarked from the ships they had been ghosting underneath of and began their pursuit.
The plan for the invasion would go smoother if the enemy subs were sunk and the enemy ports could be taken intact. Usil knew the Kingdoms of Cal would have a fit over this decision, but hopped if they could at least keep the dozen or so enemy subs from doing any damage to civilians they might not send him to many hate e-mails. But sending the A-5s was risky. They outnumbered the enemy subs but if the intel about the low endurance of Morskoj subs was wrong, they could be busy for some time.
The ports of Morskoj, as few and flimsy as they were, would be needed for the post-battle withdraw. The planners and Usil understood that if they succeeded in undoing the Morskoj government the public could still rise up and counter attack. Pulling troops out via ship is a lot easier at an intact port as opposed to a heavily damaged one or frozen coast line.
The next thing though, since the subs were on shoot to kill orders, was to begin the air raids.
[OOC:I think it would be apt if Erenmor went ahead and painted us a picture of what to expect in the coming battles so we don't assume to much. So please let Erenmor get to posting such if he so desires before pushing the battle forward to much.]

[OOC: Ask, and ye shall receive.]
The Morskoj navy, subs and all, had built up a reputation it couldn't quite hold up in present days. Granted, their ships and subs weren't ancient as such, but after several very modern and very *expensive* submarines sank in dock for unknown reasons, they took a more budget-conscious approach to the matter. Thus, between the Tinisian submarines and Erenmor's Kraken-pattern bots, the battle wouldn't last more than an hour or two - only as long as it took for the Krakens to pick out any stragglers the Tinisians may have missed - no question really as to the outcome of the naval skirmish.
On dry land, though, things might not go quite as smoothly. The Morskoj army was predominantly infantry, that much was true. They were equipped with perhaps not the most expensive guns on the market, but still modern enough that they could go toe to toe with any sensible military force. There was little in the way of armoured units, but then the terrain hardly favoured that sort of warfare. There was little in the way of relatively level land where tanks could really come into their own and all the snow certainly didn't help either. There was little in the way of an airforce as well... except helicopters in a few places where the terrain allowed for construction of facilities to service them and the one military airbase with a few squadrons of slightly aging fighter jets. And those were keeping low to the ground, not too keen on getting blasted out of the sky right off. No, the Morskoj knew their strength defending would be on the ground and under it, on foot and in the cities. Of course, what vehicles there were might have been budget-issue, but they could still put up a fight... for a time.
The Morskoj cities wouldn't be winning any prizes for looks. Mostly short, thick-walled buildings with small windows bunched tightly together, making for a maze of alleyways and of course plenty of opportunities for ambushes to anyone so inclined. And then there were the underground portions of the cities, the tunnel networks and habitation warrens - cramped, claustrophobic even and a literal maze of passages, even more so than the city layout above ground.
To make matters worse, aside from the Morskoj standing army there would also be local militias to contend with - perhaps not well equipped or trained, but likely to be stirred up into a fanatical frenzy and eager to drive out the invaders... and they would know their home ground like the back of their paw. Add to all that the potential for nuclear weapons being deployed by the government, and you might see why the war was going to be a problematic matter...

"It's zero hour folks," said Kad calmly before hopping back into the Octagon.
-----
"And the old man saw through his own folly, and knew that pain would be present for the rest of his life."
"Captain," said the comm officer on board the Toson II. "Encoding thirty one has been received." The supposed accidental use of long retired signal encryption was a half way decent way to relay certain types of orders. Such as, a yes or no. Of course it required that both parties know what each was being used for. The message was usually something silly, or pointless, or even miss-leading. This time the message was "Waldo seems hesitant about this now." The message was meant for the air forces and all parties had been informed to disregard its actual content.
But the old 31 code, used as a simple code in the late 70s in Tinis was being used to signal that operations were to commence. The Toson II waited to see if the incoming more obvious airships were fired upon.
-----
Kad's Unit zero left their ravine quickly. Just in time to pull out in front of that patrol Kad had been waiting for. The enemy opened up on the Octagon with small arms fire, most of it getting no where. The field test of the model in Ciata had shown where more armor was needed.
Kad didn't feel like dealing with the jeep packed with furs shooting them with a few hand guns and had intended to just run over their jeep. But when one of them pulled the AK-47 from the back he opted for a test of sorts.
The Octagon's main gun was designed to be able to fire very different types of attacks. The one Kad had intended to use was the plasma burst. He had Branx twiddle the fire mode slightly so as to encourage a fast expansion of the plasma after it left the turret.
A few short moments latter a wave of fire pulsed from the large tank contraption and enveloped the jeep.
"I thought that'd be cool," said Kad. "Now let's roll!"
-----
"What's got the Cenpalis so upset over there?" said Faux on board the Toson II.
"I believe its a group of three or more SPAAs at three o'clock. Likely ZSU-23-4s or similar model about three miles from our horizontal position."
"Eyeballs!" said the sky captain. It was his nick name for Jig, the Lieutenant fox whom assisted Scron in getting clear images of the battlefield and enemy aircraft. "Is it just three?"
"Checking, no, there are five. Two of which are not firing. They are pointed elsewhere. And there's a sixth a quarter a mile off pointed towards us."
"Guns," said the captain. "Target and destroy on my mark."
The Cenpalis, the monsterious airship that is the flagship of the Tinisian air fleet continued its slow march towards the city, taking the occasional hit from the ground guns. The damage to the large hulk was minor and that was part of the reason the slow but well armored airship was the leading the rest.
"Scron, eyeballs, any more of those things out there?"
"Just the two fixed guns over their entrance."
Those two could hurt if they found the Toson. But Faux didn't think they would before they could reacquire the target. Besides they could just drop one of the 200 pound bombs as they were directly above the access point...
"Be ready to reacquire on the guardians. Fire."
-----
On the ground the Morskoj soldiers found themselves, well the one's still alive, that they had been attacked by artillery. They began to move the ZSUs apart in hopes of avoiding a second barrage, but the reign of fire followed them. It wasn't long before their guns were damaged beyond use and most of them dead.
The two bigger anti-aircraft guns near the tunnel entrance were soon alert as the sounds of explosions echoed over the city. Their operators began watching the sky, hoping to see planes or airships or drones. It was the ammo loader whom saw the small spec. He didn't notice that the pile of shells next to him was being super heated by a laser from the Toson II. Before the guns had finished pointing straight up the ammo catch exploded.
It was now time for the Cenpalis and the others to let the ground game begin.

The Wraith-pods spread out as they sped high over the mountains. As they neared the border, their flight paths dipped. The material coating the pods prevented them being picked up by radar... at least until the pods reached their target location and height, splitting open and releasing the Wraiths they carried. The pods then disintegrated, as their passengers glided to the ground.
Two such pods opened near the location of Kad's team. For the briefest moment two small flashes could be seen in the night sky. The next indication that something was going on when one of the Wraiths touched down running on the snow alongside the Octagon. For a moment its crew might just be able to see a shadowy humanoid shape with oddly long limbs running on all fours next to their vehicle before the Wraith picked up speed and diverted off towards the city complex.

Meanwhile, below the Toson II...
The tunnels directly beneath the city that had the misfortune to be targeted by Toson II were quite literally swarming - they were that way from the moment the large ship was spotted, and even more so when the AA emplacements started blowing up. Most of the activity was couriers running back and forth, mustering the local militia. Anyone listening in would also get treated to a hell of a lot of radio chatter. Mostly confused posts around the city asking for status reports, which in turn got lost in all the noise.
"Repeat, we have a confirmed report of aerial bombardment. By all counts, it's those sods off the coast finally making their move..." "All major AA sites are gone. Repeat, AA is gone. We need some personal launchers up top!" "All militia and regular units assemble at your designated muster points, and from there commence setting up resistance points along access points to the city. Expect enemy ground forces soon." "...we need emergency teams here on the double! The ammunition detonation's sparked several fires in the immediate vicinity, we need to contain them before they spread..."
All in all, it was shaping up to be a busy night down on the ground. Gradually the local troops filed out onto the surface, decked out in cold-weather gear and light body armour, and set to work setting up barricades along the main surface roads into the city to try and stall the inevitable ground assault.

"The traffic is almost deafening," muttered Scron. "Captain, we don't have enough translators to work out what their saying over the open channels." There were only two crew members whom were competent enough in the language to work through what was going on. "And the more secure channels have not been cracked yet."
"Just watch and keep us quiet. We'll send the recording of their chatter when the Cenpalis starts landing troops. What's the ETA on the sky fleet to the landing zone?"
"Twenty minutes!" someone answered.
"Alright, Scron, keep an eye on how they set up the defenses. Weapons, target those defenses and prepare to fire but don't do so until I give the order."
----
"Something wrong Branxie?" asked Kad.
"Thought I saw something..." Branx shook slightly as a chill ran up her spine.
"If you saw something I need to know."
"If it was anything it was likely ally... I hope. Else we got V'oodid after us."
Kad laughed. "Well I don't believe in fairy tails." After a while, "Turn us in here."
The Octagon was on the outskirts of a settlement. Most of the inhabitants were either hiding or had rushed to the defensive line near the tunnel entrance. When they turned the corner the hastily piled sandbags and their defenders came into view. One of them shouted something and gun fire opened up on the massive super tank.
"Return fire!" ordered Kad.
Bullets began to spew forth from the machine guns on the Octagon. Shortly followed was a blast of flame from the main gun which quickly lit the bags of sand on fire.
"Roll on over."
A few moments later the entire crew except Major Kad were covering their ears after a very close by explosion produced the usual near deafening boom.
"Don't worry, was probably a land mine pile. These guys really know how to throw a party!"
"Sir!" yelled one of the crew. "RPG at eight o'clock!"

The RPG-owner worked feverishly to reload his weapon before the massive tank could bring its weapons to bear on his position. Then, just as he raised the weapon to fire again, that shadowy shape made another brief appearance, only barely outlined in the moonlight as it darted through the gun nest. The RPG went off, but the missile flew high into the night sky, along with what looked disturbingly like a pair of arms.
Then came the howl. It certainly didn't sound natural, in fact it had a tinny sound to it, but it was loud enough that even the Octagon crew could hear it. Of course, on the troopers outside the tank, the noise had a much more noticeable effect. Their attention shifted abruptly away from Kad's team and to the source of the howl in a few rare cases... and in most other cases, to legging it like hell. The first few ducked inside the tunnels and promptly shut the heavy metal door behind them. The others, trapped outside, simply jumped over the trenches and ran whatever way they could, past the tank or away from it.
Not that they got very far. Another one of the ghostly shapes made its appearance, darting past the tank and between two fleeing soldiers, neatly decapitating them as it passed. The snow it kicked up was really the only good way of keeping track of its course, and by the looks of it, whatever they were, they soon split up to circle around the perimeter of the city.
***
"Seraph node 03-092, transport approaching drop zone. Release in five..."
The Seraph carriers moved fast - faster than would be expected of any plane intended to carry paratroopers. They certainly didn't look the part much either, as their passengers were suspended from racks along both sides of the sleek hull of the airship.
"Release in one. Camo active."
Both the ship and its cargo shimmered for a moment, their shape taking on a mirror-like reflective quality before fading from view all together, leaving a faintly noticeable distortion in the air as the only noticeable mark of their presence.
"Drop zones locked. Release."
With a soft click, the harnesses holding the Seraph bots were released and the drop troops plummeted towards the city, spreading out as they fell. Then they activated their jump packs, using the powerful engines to control their drop and steer themselves towards their designated landing zones. Save for the occasional flash of blue jet fire that got past the active camo's range, their descent went unnoticed from the ground.
At least, up until they touched down, among defensive hardpoints and the occasional rooftop. The landing sound couldn't be masked, much less the hail of fire from impact autocannons that followed. Lines of bright-blue projectiles could be seen from the sky tracing across the grounds around a number of the landing zones, clearing them of hostile presence.
"Seraph node 03-092 on the ground. Commencing offensive operations."

"Maybe I'll have to re-think those fairy tails..." Kad shook his head. "Alright folks, see that door? That's our target. Ready the laser mode and prepare for disassembly. We're not here to clean the mess up here with the locals. We're here to get in there."
That didn't deter the operators of the machine guns from taking a few more shots at the fleeing enemy. The laser came to life after almost a minute and quickly melted holes to and through the hinges.
"Sub-standard steel," muttered the gunner.
"We'll have to pry that door off," said Branx.
"Right, Ole, Tiz, get the winch on those handles. Everyone else cover 'em!"
Ole and Tiz were the most junior of the squad, having replaced a couple of the soldiers lost in the Ciata incident, and were twin brothers. The foxes darted quickly towards the door the moment they could fit through the back of the APC section's door. Tiz opened a compartment on the front of the Octagon to reveal a hook and cable. The mechanism to wind the cable back up was operated from inside so all they had to do was hook it to the door. Tiz handed the hook to Ole before giving a thumps up to one of the view ports of the Octagon. He felt something move past him but didn't see it.
Gun fire came from somewhere. A few bullets wized past Ole's head before he reached the door. To filled with adrenaline, the fox didn't even notice how close he got to death.
The Octagon was hooked up and and soon everyone was back inside. The cable went taught and the super tank pulled back. The door came off easily to reveal a cabal of hardy defenders with weapons ready to fire.
"Burn 'em," ordered Kad. Fire flew towards the opening much to the surprise of those inside.
------
"Looks like the landing zone is being cleared by friendlies, as is several other locations. Cenpalis is now down captain."
"Good. Have the defenders started firing on friendlies yet?"
"Yes, yes they have." someone answered.
"Very good, target the defenders whom are not in close combat and fire."
------
Once again unexpected shells and other death struck the Morskoj defenders. As groups of soldiers and militia are softer, and larger, targets than a mobile anti-aircraft gun, the targeting was slightly more spread out. An honest attempt was made to target only the places where the enemy was. But a few of the near by buildings also shared the destruction.

"Command node en route, touchdown in 10."
Xander rode one of the K-14 Kestrel heavy lifter VTOLs with the first wave of conventional ground troops. Presently he was leaning slightly out of the partially open side hatch, watching the snow-covered terrain gliding past underneath him and the glow of fires visible around their destination city.
"400 years is a bit long to hold a grudge, isn't it," Onyx commented over their internal network link. "You're one to talk. You'd be right here with me if you hadn't dropped that side of your mind when you gave me autonomy," Xander snapped back. "Still. Think about who you're doing this for. We knew her well enough to realise she'd not approve of this course of action." "Wouldn't she? Ah... perhaps not. But we can't just ask her any more, can we. And in the end, it was not our choice... these sods have been asking to be turned to dust the moment we set down our borders." "Any reason's a good one to get some revenge?" Onyx asked bitterly. "If you want to see it that way. Now, I think it's time to remind these meatbags why I'd earned such a bloody reputation during the 'first' war."
"Command node, registering light ground fire from touchdown zone. Deploying countermeasures."
The countermeasures took the form of two impact autocannons mounted under the nose of the Kestrel. Their barrels began spinning, and moments later, raining down suppressing fire on the ground, the impact rounds gouging impressive craters in the earth. As the long airship set down, the side hatches were thrown open and its payload of Sentinels piled out, firing on the run at the defenders that had somehow managed to escape the destruction that had already been rained on their position.
***
"All surface units are ordered to fall back to their nearest basement access. Repeat, we are abandoning the surface installations. Withdraw and barricade, seal or demolish your access route after.
All surface units..."
Of course, not all of the Morskoj defenders followed the order. Regular troops cut off from their path of retreat or simply choosing to stand and fight on familiar ground, and an overwhelming majority of surface militia who outright refused to abandon their homes to the invaders, choosing instead to hold their ground against the slowly increasing numbers of FurFed units.
And of course, the longer they stayed above ground, the worse their situation got - Erenmor point units and airborne observer drones took note of every armed person they came across, relaying the information in turn to the Erenmor network, from where it was passed in short order to the FurFed forces in general, allowing for a highly coordinated and meticulous fire sweep.

Cargus V.T. was unable to write copy presently. Instead he pulled out his pen and wrote:
I ride the belly of a demon, Some are large and methodical Some are fast and vicious Some are hard to visualize properly For if one does, you break your mind.
They are marching and churning up the world Eating the villages and figures Rolling the flames over the blackened soldiers Eliminating them completely
He knew it would need work. But that didn't matter at the moment.
--------
"Where the hell did that side tunnel come from?" yelled Branx at Kad.
"Ignore it! Its small arms fire. The target is a hundred meters ahead!"
"I hope you're right sir. I'm getting tired of rolling over crispy soldiers here," grumbled the main driver.
They soon emerged into a larger chamber by barreling through an old steel door. The defenders inside opened up fire like they had when ever the Octagon entered a bigger chamber. The turret spun from one side to the other releasing a stream of flame at the enemy positions, which was shortly followed by the machine guns. But instead of quickly moving on to the nearest exit, the Octagon kept firing at the enemy barricades. The back of the APC section opened up while a second stream of flame doused the enemy positions. A dozen soldiers poured out and moved quickly along the outside walls. Without much effort they passed over the sandbags and improvised cover and began fighting the few remaining Morskoj on the other side.
Superior tactics and the Octagon as cover lead quickly to the eradication of the defenders. There were more further on in the large chamber, hiding amongst the military hardware of various types in various stages of maintenance. The Tinisians began to creep in, hoping not to get killed and hoping to locate a possible nuclear device before one of the stalwart defenders could get the courage to try to use it.

The Tinisian advance party encountered surprisingly light resistance once they left the central chamer where their ride was parked. The occasional howl resonating through the corridors suggested at what was keeping most of the garrison occupied - though unfortunately the Wraiths hadn't drawn away all the attention.
As the Tinisians found out when they found a corridor labelled as "Strategic Munitions Control" - along with about 30 Morskoj regular military who appeared just as surprised to see the Tinisians. Once the initial shock wore off, the soldiers scattered for cover in the narrow corridor - even if the only sort available was the occasional door frame or structure support. Those that couldn't duck behind something went prone, and opened fire with their automatic rifles.
***
"We really shouldn't be staying here any more," commented a Morskoj lieutenant, leaning over a terminal displaying a rough tactical readout. "We have our orders. The invaders mustn't be allowed to locate our stockpiles - at least, not until we have had the time to deploy them. And so we can't let them get a hold of this control centre either," his captain replied. "So we're really going to do it? Use nuclear weapons on our own soil?" "Desperate times call for desperate measures." "This is madness..."
Before a horribly cliche response could be made, the two officers were interrupted by the sound of gunfire from the corridor outside. Both of them hoped the door was solid enough and the soldiers outside had enough sense to stand their ground.

Back below the Toson II...
The Erenmor fire sweep was starting to pick up speed now. The Seraphs had swept the rooftops clean and were now busy providing surveillance from on high and fire support as necessary, while the conventional troops had secured a number of plazas and other suitable open areas for further landing fields.
Taking a moment's breather from the fighting, Xander stopped at one such landing zone to check up on progress.
"Toson II, Erenmor ground command, what's the status on reinforcement arrival? They'll miss the easiest part at this rate."

"Good to hear you ground command. Octagons are being dropped presently by Cenpalis group and Valroy group. They're heading towards the preassigned targets as soon as they are on the ground in scramble formation. They'll be with you in about two minutes." Faux paused for a moment. "Is there any strategic point we should hit at this time?"
----
Kad watched intently the monitor. The feed from Specialist Milt's helmet camera was the primary feed.
"What the hell?" Kad flipped through the other feeds very quickly. "Quan, roll to your side immediately or... shit." Quan's camera went dead. The mouse frowned. It was likely that the fox was dead. "Garreole, toss some flash grenades in there and move to the other side of that opening. There's a better vantage there. Seltus, don't pull a Hon there. Stay put!"
Branx was listening to Kad's irate orders. She was also keeping an eye through the views she had around the Octagon to make sure no one was sneaking up on them. A pile of construction materials in one corner of the open space caught her eye."Sir."
Kad ignored her.
"Sir!"
"What?"
"Have someone grab that cart over there, toss some of that material over there on the front, and send it down the hallway."
"Good idea."
"And they should light it on fire first. If that label is right the seals on the sides should be flammable."
-----
After lightning on fire, a burley ursine slide the cart around a corner and kicked it towards the enemy. The smoke from several smoke grenades was still present in the air and combined with the new threat to help hide the rush of Tinisian soldiers towards the enemy. A few were hit, but the defenders were also paying a price. A few more seconds and the first line of the enemy was very dead. The cart stopped and fell on the bodies. The Tinisians began to use the cart as cover. Two grenades later and the defenders were down to five furs.
"Push this thing!" someone yelled. The ursine grabbed the bottom of the toppled cart and began to push it and the burning mass on the front, which was almost extinguished by its landing burning side up on the floor, towards the remaining soldiers. The ursine, corporal Jelt didn't make it to the end of the hall before another boddy halted his advance on the enemy. His surprise left him often and he got three bullets in the side and went down.
Revenge for killing their comrade was shortly had by the Tinisians. And they were soon through the door the soldiers had been guarding. One Lieutenant Smok quickly had a gun pointed at a Morskoj captain and a large frown.

"If you're dropping armour, we'll need to secure one of the larger access gates to the underground sections," Xander said. "From there, we should either push towards the power production facilities or the infrastructure control hub. Either way, it's recommended we establish control over the systems of the city. I'll be uploading the coordinates of a likely assault route and access point... presently."
***
The Morskoj lieutenant had enough sense to take cover behind one of the consoles around the time grenades started going off outside the door. His superior didn't display such forethought and when the door was busted in, he found himself staring down the barrels of Tinisian guns.
In a brief, misguided moment of heroism, the captain grabbed for the handgun at his belt, but a single shot brought him to the ground - a shot apparently from behind one of the consoles. As the Morskoj captain slumped to the ground, another handgun was tossed out from behind the console, then a pair of arms raised over the top edge before their owner stood up slowly, a ferret in his mid 20s. He gave his captain a sheepish look before his attention turned to the Tinisians, waiting for what they would do.

A short haired feline moved to the front, ignoring the captain, and began to address the young ferret in his native tongue as best the feline could. Certainly not fluent, he, like Branx for their previous mission, had been selected to be a part of the unit due to his language training.
"Sit there and follow instruction, and you will not be harmed," he said three times. The ferret slowly took a seat, where the felin was pointing, a spot in plain view of the whole room. Another Tinisian soldier grabbed the captain's weapon while this went on, but didn't offer medical attention.
The feline then spoke again. "Where are the nuclear weapons, the big bombs." He asked the question a few different ways, using possible alternative slang terms to get the point across of what they were looking for.
-------
The Octagons thundered through the city streets. The few defenders that had not already been dispatched in these areas, as well as the few strong headed civilians with weapons, took pot shots at the tank like monstrocities. The commander of the Mrag tank group, Major Vek was more concerned about the streets crumbling under neath them as much of the gun fire richochet off the octagons. Occassionally an explosion would slow the advancing armor and would have to be delt with, but overall, they're main goal was not securing the general city yet, but the critical points.
Major Vek was the first of Mrag group to reach the top side power plant, who's coordinates had been provided by Xander, and confirmed with command while they had moved on it. As with a number of the barriers that had been put up around the city to slow the invaders, Vek had the tank roll right over it.
Mrag group was slated to be ground level fighters while a number of the other groups had the tunneling module instead and would be going underground shortly.
"This is Vek, relay to Xander and Command that we're at the power plant. Presently securing perimeter. Three minutes max from ground pound."
Ground pound was the term being used that day by the Tinisians for sending in troops on foot. Provided there was no hickups, they would shortly be in control of the power for the sky side of the city. As the dozen Octagons arranged themselves around the complex, occassionally firing on guards or enemy troops that strayed into view, Vek's comm wizard reported that Tinisians had reached a large tunnel access point and would be commencing insertion presently.
"Good work all, if all goes as it should, the city should be pacified within hours." Vek wasn't known for giving out any praise.

The Morskoj lieutenant seemed rather shaken - having to shoot one's commanding officer never comes easy. "They... they're usually kept down in central storage, along with other strategic resources. But since they really want to deploy them... they should have them moved up to the launcher. Those... they're on the northern outskirts of the city," the ferret explained, staring down at the console.
***
"Hours... that's an optimistic statement," Xander commented, shaking his head. "Arion, head over to the power plant, assist in securing the place and taking over the power network," he said to one of the two Wraiths at his side. The mirror-faced warrior nodded simply and dashed off through the city, camouflage systems activating after a few steps, shrouding him from view and ensuring he'd get to the target site with no obstructions.
"Main thoroughfares are going to be useful for them bringing in armour, but they'll be killing fields for ground troops. Archon nodes and Wraith agents, infiltrate and commence diversion tactics through secondary and tertieray access routes. Keep their attention focused elsewhere. Pull up flamers while you're at it, and keep the flanks of the organic advance secure. Primary offensive forces will be following in when the Tinisians start moving underground..."
Xander sighed, looking up at the sky. "It's going worringly smooth thus far. It's hard to imagine they almost defeated us through attrition during the first war..."
