The pilot of the 747 laughed. He has orders from the Emperor to get them to the airport ASAP, and that supercedes the orders from here. Though he did pick up the radio to speak with Nakhi.
"Hey, watch your flying, I think we pissed off the Commonwealth a little." He said. "They want us to listen to them now and follow their orders. Heh, I do believe the Emperor's word reigns supreme."
Nakhi said, "Agreed. I won't fuck around, but we will fly according to the Emperor's orders. Let's see what they do. If they bitch at us again, we should quote that."

With the lack of response and the government largely paralysed with grief the air-force reacted like the commonwealth's immune system. Ground defences started to light up to the penitential threat, Ix's planes had entered the commonwealth's defence area.
Fighters scrambled as Inca figured this might be a time an enemy might attack. The commonwealth air force defence status moved up a notch. The ultra long-wave transmitters sent a confirmation of existence to the boomers resetting all of there clocks to 28 days to Armageddon...the furthest they ever got from it.
The air control people changed from requesting to ordering "You will, I repeat will enter south west heading behind speed bird 87 you will split off when you are told by tel air traffic control. Your disruptive friend will not do that in out air corridor...
Your designation is DP 47 and DP 48. You will remain in Tel international's flight lane....
Or you will have to deal with the alban second wing and the second drewn desert wing, is that understood?
You have made us wake them and they are not happy and all of us are in morning...do you understand?!"

IX's pilot picked up the radio, but was quickly stopped. When he looked around, IX grabbed the radio from him. He heard what the ground said and wasn't about to get shot down.
He said, "Sorry for the delay. You're understood. We had a communications problem on our end. Following your orders now." He put the radio back then said to the pilot, "Listen, we're in unknown territory now. When you're spoken to, respond. I don't feel like getting shot down because of your idiocy.
"Of course, if they did shoot us down, then those fighters would be working overtime fairly quickly."
