Pargalo Moves Towards New Government
Sufficent popular support has been won by the organizing council of Pargalo for the legitimization of an interim government. Major Kad, who has been representing Tinisian interests at the meetings of this group said of the development that, "These good people have finally taken the first step to a better world for them and their prosperity."
The nation had been under defacto Tinisian control after the brief war to unseat the dual dictators Jirie and Wune by a loose coalition of federation nations. The other nations of that coalition had limited interest in post war Pargalo. Tinis encouraged and helped organize a meeting of representatives of various groups and interests of the citizens of Pargalo this winter. This organizing council established emergency rules and delegated responsibility to ensure something resembling order was present over the winter, while the council itself hashed out a basic plan for their nation.
The interim government will rule until elections can be held to fill seats in a republican form of government sometime next year. The interim government is made of the council and community leaders choosen by the cities and refugee camps. The government will be meeting in Castle Mazel next week to finish organizing and to select a prime minister.
Commander Usil, head of the Tinisian army, said, "This is a great start to a new Pargalo. I see good things coming out of there again."
In the running for prime minister are Gotalias, a vetran of the resistance, Untar Vont, a community leader, Brother Onk, a devout Glorvanist representing a sect of the faith group, and Mobliasto, an Itchalian representative.

Xebec Holovision Broadcast Channel 1100, 12:00 News
Headline: Miokalian Emissaries Meet Friction in Xebec Square Hello, I'm Nallia Vox.. " "And I'm Lom Kasperson" "And this is the Channel 1100, news at 12:00" <intro music> "The congregation was shocked today, as shots were fired during the meeting of Kazian "Ambassador Geneec Seventyfix and Rincon Pacen and Miokalian emissaries in down town Xebec.
Police say this man, Ginney Andard, member of the fur supremacy group FFF, was the culprit. At approximately 10:25am, right after a jet fan-fare he pulled out a hidden rifle and tried to kill Miokalian Protectorate, Doroy Blinn. The group released this statement shortly after Andard was killed in the street."
"What we do, we do for the good of all fur kind, will not be understood today, tomorrow, maybe not for many years. But the apocalypse to come will show that we cannot have these inorganics infecting our children and society. They are not life. They are constructions!"
"Rincon Pacen was injured while bravely leaping in front of dignitary Blinn, just as the shot was fired. He is currently in ICU at Xebec Memorial, but is expected to make a full recovery."
"Ambassador Geneec had this to say at a press conference held in Xebec"
"First of all, I wish to apologize to the nation of Miokalia for the actions that unfolded today." *wipes off some dried tears from his cheek* "The views of this FFF do not represent Killer Zoids as a whole. They are but a small, technologically averse faction who do not wish to see integration of people like the Malych into our society. We hope this incident does not block out Miokalia from future diplomacy as our government CAN benefit from the steps they have already taken."
"A new, more private meeting has yet to be scheduled by Panel," says the news anchor. "We will keep you informed as to the next breaking turn, now to Lom with another story."
"Thanks Nallia, You know, when you've seen one show you've seen them all, but 'Transfur - Fox or Wolf' has been raising many questions and concerns over the past few weeks..."

Cal announces the inclusion of the outer kingdomTelen timesIn a very brief statement the government has announced that the outer kingdom of Utoer has requested membership of the commonwealth. This was an unexpected move as by doing so they have also surrendered two of their islands to alba and one to an unknown tribe. The fate of the uninhabited island of Acta is still confused, though from our sources within the government it is not being passed to an aggressive group, who they are we do not sure. However this has caused the outer kingdom to be given full protectorate status at this point prior to full membership of the commonwealth. Utoer has no history of democracy so the electoral commission and department of national statistics will have to get involved. Both of these departments are still busy dealing with Emass but Utoer has by far a smaller population as the islands are sparsely populated. Though many in sae object to this move, most admit that they have no idea as why this hatred of Utoer exists. Thus the deal which appears to have been brokered by princess Lyie exists. No one but the Saeie have any form of hatred of the Utoer. It appears that they have been voted down in the lucan council as with the parliament, with a very unusual liberal, freedom party, socialist, libertarian and conservative alliance. The inclusion of the outer kingdom has been given, effectively cross party support. A new map of cal has been published: www.pica-sapien.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/img/calbig.GIF.

Calie Rail Crew Move Over Seas Teuie Telegraph
For the first time in Teuie history a track building train has been dismantled to be sent over seas. Naraemat is the nation that has been grated the use of this massive machine. The forward bridge laying trucks way in excess of three thousand tones in the case of the high speed line laying.
The high speed lay three tracks and can easily lay up to ten miles a day, though they have managed thirty miles a day when the terrain was easy.
The freight lines are laid at speeds of up to sixty miles a day. Though these line are unsafe for any train travailing over one hundred and fifty miles an hour. But they are designed to deal with very heavy loads.
Why cal has provided this technology to the Naraematens is unclear, how ever this nation is in desperate need of a high speed rail network.
As for their freight network...they still use lorries to take heavy items to ports.

Cal opens it's longest submerged tunnel Acline Times
At three am this morning cal has declared it's link from the mainland to inleef open. The tunnel carries seven lines to inleef.
Two high speed lines, three freight lines and two support lines to ensure that the link works. The link was declared water proof over a month ago and thus it will be linked into the inleefen rail network shortly.
The largest question is why such a massive link was needed as inleef has a minimal use of this link. We suspect that this is a first link requested by the various rolling stock corporations to force the government to pay for a link to miokalia. The two ships that were required are only two of three of a kind and two have been called to make a link to emass. Will the miokaliaen be willing to cover the other half of the cost or will they expect us to?
Though miokalia's freight network is good their high speed lines leave something to be desired. Cal only has two remaining trains that can build high speed and freight lines left. Both in emass, I am not sure if the miokaliaen will even let them into their part of the island.
Will they request the use of them and pay for the the purchase of CAT(Calitua Aratually Transitory) trains for use on their network, even with there new adaption.
If such a link occurs it would allow a person to fall asleep in Miokalia or even perhaps Killer Zoids to wake up in Cal or any combination there of.
We can hope that the need for easy public transport will be made popular to out neighbors.

Miokalia's HTH to connect to CAT in Inleef using submerged tunnel
The plan to build a freight-and-passenger tunnel system at the bottom of the Bay of Inleef has been completed and construction on the starting ramp in Kolminaisus is nearly complete. The project is simply waiting for the shipment of the tunnel construction systems from the mainland.
The ultimate plan is to have a continuous train line running from Cal through Miokalia and on up to KZ.

The Capital TimesPanel Approves Plans to Link Up Killer Zoids Kazian legislators approved a bill earlier today to provide funding for a high speed train link between Killer Zoids and Miokalia, and extending through Cal. The largest question on the minds of engineers now, is how to approach the construction. Will they leave the railway underground and traverse the country side over the Eylan mountain range, across to GS Berg or will they cross underwater the Ruka Gulf and be more direct, surfacing just outside of GS Berg? GS Berg has been chosen as the link-up site, since every major railway winds from GS Berg. A map of some proposed routes follows: downloads.ligersunion.com/images/ns/proposedroutes.gifThe white route is the mountain route, easily connecting Rohomeo to the system. The more southerly route through Atrias would go underground and emerge in GS Berg. A 3rd plan, in yellow, shows a derivation from the white route connecting to Kazian infrastructure directly. The benefit of connecting in GS Berg is obvious, and planners are not interested in considering the Yellow plan.

New Ciata Announces Student Exchange Program
An Effort To Learn More About Other Cultures And Spread Their Own
News has been relayed to the Furry Federation Council chambers that New Ciata wishes, for the first time as an official effort, to send young furs abroad in an effort to get a Ciatan's impression of foreign cultures and to study the affects of their cultures on the youth of the country. The young country is seeking 20, 5 year, student visas to give to young males of all species and economic status in order to survey the different affects on the different classes.
It was not fully explained by the ambassador why there were no female students being sent, but that it would possibly conflict with their cultural marrying traditions. What that means exactly is not known.
The students will be seeking admittance, and will no doubt gain it, to various universities across many federation countries. Oddly enough The Socialist Technocracy of Miokalia, Erenmore, The Republic of Naraemat, The Machine Dominion, and The Principality of Killer Zoids are not currently among the countries being appealed to. Reasons, if even hinted at, were a general distrust of "mechanical beings" and current foreign policies. There is little surprise as to who was the most requested. Tinis, the nearby super power which has had many close dealings with them in the past and present with ongoing protection border forces.
This could be the first step in an opening of New Ciata's borders to possible outside influences and culture, or merely a scouting mission.

Fighting breaks out along Erenmor/Morskoj border!
Today, in the early morning hours by Morskoj's time, the country's underground shelters and storehouses were attacked by shelling from the Erenmor side of the border. In an apparent attempt at gutting the Morskoj military defenses the Erenmor artillery also managed to severely damage a number of civilian areas along the entire border. Morskoj forces returned fire, and the artillery exchange continued for some 30 minutes after the initial firing. It would appear that for the time being Erenmor artillery has been forced to cease firing, while Morskoj forces continue applying pressure to give their forces time to assemble.
As well as numerous civilian and military casualties, the barrage is said to have wounded commander Marcus Inaj of the Morskoj army. Officials have not been able to provide a precise statement as to the commander's health, but they have expressed a plea for assistance from the international community in repelling this attack against a sovereign nation.
Complicating matters is the presence of a number of large naval vessels belonging to the country of Miokalia, whose government is said to have close ties to that of Erenmor. As far as we know the vessels have not opened fire on either side, but their presence only causes further unease for the already strained nation of Morskoj.
**
...and the curious thing was similar articles cropped up a little over an hour from the first shots being fired. But then, the modern media has always been uncannily quick at acquiring its news.

Zagckza Orders Withdrawl of MZS Fhtagn from North
"The minute we became aware a civilian target was hit by Erenmor, the decision was confirmed.", said Secretary of Defense Zagckza. Andertol had earlier on already expressed his opinion that the carrier and the three destroyers be removed from the area. "Our presense is not serving any purpose.", said Andertol.
There are rumors that this is in response to a growing movement in the Biszlocsun party to distance Miokalia from Erenmor in the eyes of the international community.
"Being this close to a Police State is reflecting poorly upon us. I don't care if they also have inorganic leadership or whatever. This nation is a public relations disaster area and Miokalia is being mislabeled as being a police state (despite plenty of evidence to the contrary) because of our involvement with them.", said Senator Matashu (HPP-Mlch).

The Ivnexed Journal
Commanders Vinlia and Lenord Lead, Socialists and Nationalists Less Certain
With the nominations coming in early next year, and with all major parties now having adopted primary systems to choose their major office holders, Ivnexed Journal conducted a poll of 3200 respondants, 800 from each major party, to determine preferences for the 2008 First Speaker Election.
Our poll was conducted a day after Commander Talia Vinlia announced her intentions of running for First Speaker. The popular wolf in charge of the Special Forces branch of the military has come out on top in our poll at 36%, compared to 29% for Governor Gerbi Post. Her fellow commander, Ovrin Lenord, also leads in his party for the nomation but by wider margins, beating his next closets rival by 29%. Commander Julia Yerzok is not having as easy a time beating her closets rival by only 5%.
So the question is, will the replacement of First Speaker Izixs come from the military? Many, especially older citizens, still see the First Speaker as having a millitarist background despite his more often than not policy of non-intervention and peace which he has expounded during this long tenure as First Speaker.
The question becomes then, are the people more willing to trust a military fur over someone else? Or could it be strategic thinking on the part of the voters?
The NPP for instance may be thinking that the continued success of the Crystal Eye could be a huge boon to any candidate attached to it, which may be pushing them towards the isolationist leaning but pro-science Lenord. On the other hand, Nationalists may be thinking their party could appear to militaristic if they were to nominate Commander Yerzok, head of TIPS and thus are splitting their preferences between her and Popular Governor Predgast of the state of Mevo. The edge for Vinlia is there but Governor Post is polling well so perhaps there is uncertainty about sending the Commander from Starazza in to win the election.
But what of the Socialists? Leading their pack is a state auditor and a national auditor. Perhaps the socialists are attempting to throw off the stink of corruption a certain speaker from the state of Pargalo seems to eminate. State Auditor Jero Obtanis lacks national experience for sure, but expounds a smart singular foreign policy and is supposedly working on an update to Tinisazil. [Tinisian style socialism] Former National Auditor Belina Zong on the other hand is bucking the trend of most Socialists and advocating jumping over the Unionist position of international engagement and careful military use to out right international interventionism. Some Socialists are very aware of the trounching they recieved in the mid term election and feel that in the interests of the rest of their platform, they may very well seek to compromise or go furthur foreign policy wise. Even still, the nomination of Zong would show a major shift in the Socialist Party, assuming the party remained intact.
Ivnexed Journal had a chance to speak with Former National Auditor Zong briefly Tuesday. She laid out her plan as thus, "I full respect the views of the other candidates, but as one who knows how Tinisazil works on its grand scale and how our freedoms are upheld and used, and I must say to you that Tinis is out of equilibrium. We stand as an island, so different, so alien in our ways with most of the rest of the world, that the interface is almost maddening in its complexity. Unless we can foster liberated nations with Tinisazil like systems, Tinis is doomed in the long run. And I for one don't believe that is acceptable.
"I propose that we force the Federation Trust Territories to get their act togeather and reform new governments. That we work with them to establish fair trade systems in between us and encourage them to adopt our system of economics. I also propose we stop babying nations that are poisonous to our way of life. I'm still shocked that the First Speaker tolerated Lord Nogitsune, the boy emperor for so long on our eastern boarder. Such a thing is appauling to me and as First Speaker I will work to unite the free peoples of the world against totalitarianism."
The Journal is currently seeking responses to Zong's comments.

"In other news, sentient AIs in UNEX began their latest campaign on Capital today, sending emails and letters to Panel members, pleading for equal rights with biological furs throughout Killer Zoids. The messages, written in a style of 'this is my story, I'm not that different,' no doubt may have emotionally reached some Panel members, discussing how they work for an honest wage, come home to their families, and pay taxes.
However, in a communique from the fringe group 'FFF', or the Fur Freedom Fighters, came threats against Kazian infrastructure and some high end political officials, should the new laws be enacted. Government Electorate, President Arabarath Gorh has announced his plans on sharing lunch with the Miokalian diplomats tomorrow, despite the communique, in a release early this morning."
"We can not be intimidated by lunatic fringe groups in our decisions in panel. However, we will not mis-judge their capabilities. Only last week, an attempt was made on one of our visiting diplomat's life. I have chosen to still meet with them because I believe diplomacy, in this very tense period of Kazian history, is the key in bringing our great nation through it. We will not be biased by any external or internal forces, and the Panel's decisions will be their own.", Arabarath Gorh, press release.
"The issue, showing 81% support by the general public, will be discussed this coming Saturday in the next Panel session. Security and available police forces will be descending on the capital in an effort to ensure safety for the 133 Panel members. Will integration of non-biological life become a reality in Killer Zoids, and not just in UNEX? Or will their cries for equality fall on deaf ears? Only time will tell. Miokalia and Monotheism. Oil and Water.Despite all the attempts at cultural translation, and the missions, and the publications, why is it that monotheism just doesn't work in Miokalia? There have been many reasons cited for this, the most often being the physiological reason that Dincotians just don't have the parts of the brain that cause inexplicable ecstatic experience. Something which usually gives people a non-tangible reason to adhere to a church. However, the possibility of education is something else often avoided. Ghitavism, a religion native to the Dincotians and Daeronese is a non-theocentric philosophical package which could barely even be called a religion since it refers very little to 'the intangible'. Often lumped in with buddhism, many Ghitavist scholars have for years said that "the vast majority of monotheism is hollow. built upon empty words and implausible myths. It maintains itself by relying soley on the ignorance of the populations it is used to control." Although most secular scholars in Miokalia have attributed the lack of sucess and adaptation of monotheism to the culture to be as a result of "It's unwillingness to adapt to a different kind of gnostic spirituality which is inherent to the population." "Christianity made a try. I'm sure we all remember how 'raptor jesus' became more of an internet meme than anything else. It's problem wasn't it's history or it's dogma, both of these have about completely disqualified other monotheist religions from being preceived as anything but a joke here. The problem was that it had no answers to offer. None that could be taken seriously by a culture which is sure 'the soul' is a very tangible thing, and has made it into a realm of quantitative science.", said Panzhi Taiy, a professor at Universitat Hokyldaryon. The Erenmor SyndromeErenmor was once thought to be a kindred nation prior to conflicts which occoured last year. But now a popular sentiment against involvement with them has begun brewing because of recent events. And oddly enough, it seems this sentiment is as powerful within inorganic groups as it is with organics. Pressure from Cal has indeed forced the government to switch direction as the prospect of being mistaken for a police state looms ahead. AdvertisementAlternate Universes: KZDespite an attempt to put a bit of a dent on Blinn by terrorists, the delegation continues to tour and talk with KZ. It is often said that KZ is Miokalia if the Dincotians never settled, and vulpines did instead. What makes the situation awkward is the inorganic population of Zoids up north. Since after all, they are the Malych species' closest reletives. Twin species with different developmental histories that share a common source. It seems at this point, the movement to make KZ more inorganic-friendly has taken on a fever-pitch since Miokalia started talking to them again. Where this will end up? We'll find out I'm sure.

ENI: Erenmor News International Erenmor Defending its Borders
Earlier this day the hills lining the Erenmor northern border were the scene of fierce and bloody fighting as forces from Morskoj attempted yet again to storm and overrun the border fortifications, but Erenmor forces under command of Xander Morhaime firmly held their ground and pushed the attackers back across the border river. Neither side would give an estimate of losses after this first outbreak of fighting in ten years, but it is clear from the debris littering the Erenmor hills that Morskoj took a heavy beating.
The assault is said to have been provoked by artillery fire from Erenmor, but commander Morhaime released the following statement: "I don't know where those explosions came from, but they sure as hell weren't ours. We haven't used ammunition of that sort for some two hundred years now." Additionally, according to observations by the Miokalian ships stationed near the conflict zone, the projectiles responsible for the shelling came from a third party, as of yet unidentified.
Presently Erenmor engineering and medical teams are searching the hillsides for salvageable material and any survivors of the Morskoj assault that were otherwise unable to retreat with the bulk of the forces. Wounded Morskoj soldiers are being taken into custody, given any necessary medical treatments and afforded the basic rights of prisoners of war.
