Sicarii's paws flash, one apearing in front of him using the enrgy he had gathered to make a energy shield, the other, still radiating, chambers at his side.
"Hahahahahahahaaa.....no one controls me! Our plans will become realized, our world shall come, and we shall bring it through your deaths! AH!"
He fires with his right paw his energy at the four guards to his right, blasting them away with the explosion, killing or taking them out of commision. The others, stunned by the blast, cease to fire for a moment.
"Do you really want to know what happened? Why I left?"
With his still smoldering right paw he tears off his cloak to reveal his broad chest and the infamous morning star fitted to the center of it. The object is like a oval like jewl, not but two inches tall and one and a half wide, but it radiates a feeling of power and almost glows not with any one color, but almost all and none at once. However across it and most of his chest lies a long scar, running from his right shoulder, through the stone, and down almost to his hip.
"This is why I left! You sheph-iy-phon, you managed to wound me with your blade. I was weakened, even that pathetic Raja could have taken me out as power leaked from my body. However I did escape, and healed, and now I have come to exact my revenge upon you, give you your mooth you wished to give me. Revenge......."
as his right palm begins to radiate again.

The remaining guards hold their fire, not wishing to incur the wrath of the being before them.
As the electrical sound continues to build from his horns, Izixs replies, with a smile, "I was a little worried that I wouldn't of been able to harm you this evening. But if I did it before I can do it again.
"But no control but instead a partner? You seem to be the only one here! This implies your partner gives you the plans and you carry them out. In that case they do control you. Or you could be a liar or insane. Those explainations work as well."
As the white dragon speaks, the skunk to his side slowly backs off ever so slightly, hoping to survive the day.
"I'm also starting to understand a little of what you're plan entails," continues Izixs. "And I'm afraid I can't let it continue."

He growls savagely,
"NO ONE CONTROLS ME! The Shades work as one, we are all on missions to kill, our own tasks to bring our world into existance!"
The aura around his right paw grows tremendously as he says this.
Soon, very soon all will come to pass.....but why should it matter to you? You won't be here to see it, NONE OF YOU! AAAAHHHHH!!!"
he sweeps his right paw from left to right firing his beam, leveling pipes, furs, and anything that gets in it's path....

Either the sudden leap by the First Speaker, the yell from Sicarii, or the cutting of the radio antenna on his right that encourages Police Lt. Wesley Castor to hit the deck. In the process, unfortunatly for the poor skunk, Castor falls in such a way that the beam passed through his right arm, tearing a good portion of it away.
The First Speaker on the other hand is in the air when the beam passed. Izixs begins firing the pistols at Sicarii for little effect. With the clips empty he tosses the guns at the demon, draws two knives and dives towards his would be assassin.

Sicarii laughs and stoops down and picks up his cloak he cast aside and tosses it up in the air above him, blocking him from the diving dragon's view. When Izixs strikes it, he tears through nothing but the tough garnment as Sicarii has disapeared from sight to somewhere amid the smoke from the blasts and the various pipes and air conditioning vents on top of the roof.
Even the most acute hearing cannot seem to locate the source of the Sicarii speaking again in a different tone this time, one almost soft and very different from the one before,
"Look at the sun, it is setting, on you, your life, your country, your way of existance and your existance itself. Everywhere there is cycles of light and darkness, which some of the other mixed inbetween. The shadows grow longer, and the light is fading. Soon the night will consume you all and the candles of resistance will be snuffed out. Do you wish to know your failure, why you are fading and falling one by one, millions by the millions? Why your fate is locked into place no matter who brings it about? It is because faith in the individual has been lost. Trust, selflessnes, compassion, community, strength of characture and strength of mind instead has been placed in money, power, influence over the mindless masses that are used at toys and tools to bring about the will of a few, corrupt individuals who do not deserve to live much less rule. (the voice darkens) All who blindly follow them an protect them are the same, mindless tools who will follow them to death and do not deserve to live either."
there is a blur behind him that passes over Lt. Castor who was lying, writhing on the ground through all of this, trying vainly to stop the blood flow from his arm. He jerks, and goes limp, the right side of his throat slashed.
"You all deserve to suffer and die for the suffering and death you bring about. One unity of furs, no more wars or conflict or robbing of the poor and using them to serve the rich and powerfull. There will only be one unity to servey, our unity, the Shades will cover this land, and those in power controling the others will fall and die under our blades, starting with you, the top, and all those who serve you. With one group having power, no one will have power over another, we will control all."

Izixs leaps atop the roof access hut.
"How dare you compare what I've done to the toil of despots. I've worked all my life to foster unity. To encourage the things you say are lost. Everyday I fight the forces of greed. Everyday I fight to bring about the dream of a free world. And I doubt your shades are really interested in such a thing."
Izixs' eyes dart about, trying to find Sicarii, always missing him. The electrical sound from his horns remain as does the sound of approching helicopters. He notices the dead skunk, Castor, on the helipad.
"That officer stood with me of his own free will. I told him that if he came with me he would die. And you have fullfilled my promise. But it was his choice. I could of ordered him to leave, but I had faith in his ability to choose."
Izixs jerks his head just in time to miss another security guard's death. His eyes change color slightly, now slightly more red.
"And I would love a world with no war. No violence. For a time I saw it, here, in Tinis. But isolation nearly lead to our sufication. But until we returned to the international stage we had peace. And do you know how I did it? I didn't. They did!" Izixs focuses on the city scape around the spire and points with a knife. "I may have been their leader but it was up to them to choose me and it was up to them to pass the laws I wrote. They are their own saviors. If I die now, they will live on. They will grow and live as they choose still! I may be the figure head of Tinis, but I am not its mind, I am not it soul. I may have been once, but I choose to give them what is theirs.
"My death would be pointless. But perhaps it is time I died. That I demonstrated the reality of Tinis."
Izixs spins around to spot Sicarii killing the last guard. The white dragon opens his maw and with a crackle a stream of electrons burst forth from his teath forming an arch of lighting.

Sicarii, not able to throw up an energy shield in time to block the blast, uses the body of the security guard instead. As it's flesh is seared and the stench of burning flesh and hair fills the area Sicarii casts it aside and begins to lick his paws clean of the creatures splattered blood while staring with wild eyes at Izixs. As he does so, there is a notable change about his person, the cursed stone, mounted on his chest begins to glow red and his eyes follow suit. He leans forward, as if clutching his stomach, then throws his head and arms back releasing a soul unsetling roar.
"You...will...all....die. I will...lay waste to you all! I will dine on your flesh and feast on your misery! I will lay ruin to this world untill it is as bleak and dark as myself. All who survive will share in my living hell. Fire shall consume and sickness run unchecked, misery and suffering! Hahahahahahaha.......I will lay low every tower and citadel of light, and you are next! AAAAAAHHHHH!"
With that yell he lunges with increadible speed at Izixs, elongated claws stretched out, and mouth gaping, thirsting for more blood.

The problem for Izixs is that not using his electrical breath as often he did when he was younger has lead him to not be as prepared for the after affects. His mind, abuzz with the side affects of the powerful electrical potentials for a moment almost switches to another mode for the briefest moment. The other mode being unconsciousness. The second unfortunate thing was when the brief moment occurred, at the beginning of Sicarii's charge.
The white dragon returns to consciousness with the demon only a short six feet away. Without knowing his reactions spring to life and he moves to roll with the assault, spinning the knives toward Sicarii. But the distance is to short, and Sicarii to fast.
Izixs is knocked from the roof of the small hut as Sicarii slices deep into his left side and left wing. With a roar, he lands a dozen feet from the hut, barely on his feet. But he falls to his knees.
------
<Meanwhile in The Tower>
"Sir, the helicopters are a minute from the roof," says the aid.
"Thank you," says Epshrin. "Krel, was that what I thought it was?"
The analysis nods. "Yes, that was an electrical arc."
"Chances of his survival?"
"Ten percent."
The wolf, Supreme Commander of all the armed forces of the Union of Tins, with a perfectly blank face. "Seal us up. Activate the PDS."
-----
The First Speaker is quite aware of the blood leaking from his side. Izixs looks up to Sicarii on the hut, the light from the setting sun puting the already dark figure into silhouette; the red glow from the demon's chest forming the dark heart of evil. The light changes. The sun fades from orange to blue. From blue to black, along with the sky. The lights of the city come on quickly as the pattern defense system blocks all that would pass through it, including the light of the sun.
On the roof, the only lights are the morning star and the spot lights from three helicopters approaching from the north.

Sicarii crouches, about to spring onto his prey to deliver the final blow when he suddenly grasps his head and leans back, screaming as if in anguish and the morning star begins to change into a mixing of colors....like an opal and his voice changes tones also.
"GAAAAAHHHHH! Jonan! Get out of my head!"
He stagers about on the top of the hut, holding his head savagly growling.
"Aaahhh.....Jonan.....you're mine. No! Azazel will kill him. Ah! No, no, NO! Get out of my head, all of you! I....must...go......save him, no kill him, his blood is mine, my oath. Azazel, do your job now! No, I must go, must go to......."
He lets loose another wild roar and turns, runs to the edge of the building......and jumps off.

Izixs watches Sicarii's staggard fit half dazed. As the demon jumps from the roof of the Spire, the white dragon falls unconcious to the ground.
It isn't long before he and the two surviving guards are pulled from the roof and onto the military helicopters.
------ <minutes later in The Tower>
"Sir?" asks Commander Talia Vinlia. Beside her are Commanders Dobbin Krazalgesh and Ovrin Lenord. All three have sour looks on their faces.
Commander Epshrin turns from the screens full of pictures from the Spire and sees the trio. "Yes?"
"I'm sorry sir," says Vinlia, "but if you do not deactivate the PDS or recieve written authorization from the First Speaker, or in this case due to the First Speaker's obvious incapaciatation, the Secretary of State with in the hour, then we will be forced to remove you from duty and deactivate the PDS."
Epshrin smiles at his fellow wolf and nods. "You are quite right. Deactivate the PDS." An aid goes to work relaying the order. "You do know that the PDS could be the only thing that can trap him."
Krazalgesh says, "True, it might be. But it traps him in here, with us. Even if your action wasn't illegal Supreme Commander, the dangers of having him trapped in our bubble with us are to great for us to allow it to happen. We all just saw what happened at the Spire. Our security is fifteen times that, sure, and a thousand times more deadly, but I doubt we'd keep him out of the tower forever."
"Fine," says Epshrin. "I bow to your wisdom on this one."
"Also," says Vinlia, "Sicarii has disapeared again. We didn't find his body anywhere so we suspect he survived. We think he might of gone into the steam tunnels. My guys are scouring them as we speak while the ground pounders handle the streets and up."
"So close though," says Epshrin. "To close. Commanders, I think we need to rethink our internal security strategy."

Krel inspectes the blast marks at the far end of the hall were a month previous a grenade had detonated in close proximity to two individuals.
"Sir?" askes his junior.
"Note this down. The pattern of the blast as Analyist Deecon does indeed indicate that the grenade was close to both participants. One of the participants deflected a majority of the blast away from their person resulting in a increase of the intensity in the opposit direction. The pattern of the back blast is incomplete but does show signs of the root mechanism of the deflection."
The junior, a cat of only 19 years of age, scribbles down the Chief Analyist's words. As he pens the last sentence he is tapped on the shoulder. Turning around the junior sees the face of someone he has never seen before.
"Is Krel busy?" she asks.
"Sir?" the junior asks of Krel who's attention has just moved to the visitor.
"I am not to busy. Arvil, would you please take those notes up to Deecon on the roof and ask him if he needs any help with the metal work up there."
"Yes sir," says the junior before saluting and slinking off.
Once the junior had been gone for a full minute, Krel finally smiles and says, "Good day Commander Yerzork."
Commander Yerzok nods her head and smiles, showing off what should be a set of flat herbivore teeth. But they are not as such. They are broken and split but all sharpened to points.
"Analyist I have come to inspect your work."
"I am double checking Deecon's results from the grenade explosion now."
Yerzok nods. "Is his good news real then?"
The skunk holds up his palm pilot to his commander. "I've run the numbers thrice myself. Indeed a pattern was observed beyond what is expected."
"Good. And how about the roof?" says the horse with one ear.
"Deecon has double checked my work and is begining the process of removing the roof plating to look for remaining clues."
"Good. Carry on of course."
Krel perks his ears. "May I ask sir, your actual reason for being here?"
"To be honest Krel I was bored. The First Speaker has been awake for a few days now but has not opted to speak with me or any analyists. I hope he gets to soon else I'll have to snub his lazy ass and go home."
"Sir, I'm not stupid."
Yerzok nods. "Of course you're not. But those two reasons are the reasons I'm here if any one asks. But there's another reason I'm here of course. And likely several more. I want a complete map of this blast asap. I'll be taking it back with me tonight after I demand a meeting with Izixs and he fails to allow it."
"So much for the people's speaker..."
"What was that soldier?" Yerzok smiles at Krel.
"Nothing. Besides he's not running again and I'm sure at least two of the Council of Commanders are running, though neither has admitted it yet." Krel turns back to the blast mark.
"Krel the security of our Union is at stake and you're talking politics?" Yerzok can barely keep herself from laughing. "And to think you can devine even one of the candidates for an election that is three years away, even in your position inside The Tower."
Krel turns his head back with a half smile. "So you're challenging me to name even one? Well Lenord would be my pick if I had the ability to divine such things."
"So you really think the space cadet will try for it? Well whom ever that other fur is who will compete with them, they are in for a tough ride then." Yerzok turns and dissapears back down the corridor.
--------
"Yerzok how good of you to join us today. Was your inspection successful?" Epshrin doesn't remove his scowl while he says this.
"The analyists of The Tower working at the spire are in tip top shape. I was afraid you would break them or string one up."
Epshrin continues his glare at the virtually never seen Commander Yerzok of the Intelligence Services.
"I await your recomendations for security improvements Commander."
"Of course Supreme Commander," the scarred horse bows slightly as she says this. "But you won't like it." She hands him a tablet computer with the recomendaitons.
After briefly scanning the tablet, Epshrin's scowl some how increases. "You know this will cost billions."
"Yes. Yes it will. But we must make oure government secure."
